Each event is a week-long overnight, biblically-based
experience of Christian community in the outdoors.
Time at camp is all about RELATIONSHIPS: with God
and one another through small group time, Bible
study, worship, games, hiking, swimming, archery,
challenge courses, singing, campfires, and great
meals served family-style!
Campers will have fun as they grow in their faith and
self esteem, learn leadership and interpersonal skills
with peers and adults, and continue on the path of
discipleship that can change the world!

fun active time outside in God’s creation and sharing in small groups and
worship, campers and staff will feel inspired by the power of the Holy

Registration Deposit: A $25.00 non-refundable deposit
is due and payable at the time of registration.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be communicated to the site prior
to the start of camp. Cancellations are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee.
Ca mperships
Our goal is that ALL campers who wish to attend camp can have the opportunity. Campership funds
can come from three different sources.
Local Church: Talk to your ministry team about funding that is available from your local church.
Cal-Pac Districts: The districts have set up a voucher program to help with campership funds,
please talk to your pastor about getting a voucher from the district.
Cal-Pac Camps: Campership funds are also available through Cal-Pac Camps.

Click the “Register Now” button and fill out the registration form. A $25.00 deposit is required

Younger elementary camp is for children going into grades 1-3.
Campers at younger elementary play games, do arts & crafts, sing
songs, learn Bible stories, learn new skills and make new friends.

Older Elementary
GRADES 3-6
Older elementary is for campers going into grades 3-6. Along with
worship, cabin groups, small groups, arts & crafts and games, older
elementary campers will learn new skills they can be proud of.

Jr. High
GRADES 6-9
Jr. High camp is for campers going into grades 6-9. Along with worship
services and small groups, junior higher’s can learn problem solving skills
through games and group activities. Junior higher’s will develop deeper
relationships with their peers, adults and Jesus Christ.

Sr. High
GRADES 9-Graduated Seniors
Sr. High camp is for campers going into 9th grade through graduated seniors.
Along with worship, small groups, cabin groups and various other activities,
senior high campers will learn leadership skills, set goals, and how to take their
relationship with God deeper.

SURF CAMPS
INTO THE WILD
Surfing is a true adventure as you contend with the waves of
God’s grandest elements. Many surfers have found that it is
the way to understand ourselves as creatures of God, and
how we connect to the world around us.

First time and more experienced surfers alike will find
something to learn, have fun and enjoy the company of their
fellow surfing campers.
Back country adventure program for Jr and Sr High School
campers.

These are 7 & 10 day backpacking experiences where
campers learn to live in and off of the land around them; to
love and respect it and to shed fear of the wilderness within
and around them.
Our program will encompass
hiking skills and self care;
backcountry cooking over camp
stoves; wilderness first aid basics;
planning and leading of worship;
individual and group journaling;
fire safety and Leave No Trace.
Our program will encompass body mechanics and safety;
reading the waves; surfing culture; physical and emotional
challenges of surfing; entering and exiting the water; general
wellness; worship opportunities; community service project;
and ocean stewardship.
Campers should be able to perform the freestyle stroke and
tread water. No surfing experience is required. Campers with
prior experience are welcome and will improve their existing
skills.
All program staff are trained in lifeguarding, wilderness first
aid, CPR and safe sactuaries. All staff (paid and volunteer)
must pass a criminal background check for employment with
Cal Pac Camps.
THICKER THAN WATER:
July 12 - 18, 2015
This week long camp is open to 7th-10th graders.
This camp will be held at our Aldersgate Retreat Center
facility in Pacific Palisades. For more details, visit

BLUE HORIZON: July 26 - August 1, 2015
A traveling surf adventure.
This week long camp is open to 9th-12th graders.
Our first stop will be Pismo Beach, from there we will move
down the coast to Jalama Beach. Then
we will shoot down the coast to Naples, a
secret break just north of Santa Barbara.
Ending the week surfing through Ventura
and the famous breaks north of Malibu. We
will travel via van and motorhome and camp
in tents either on or along the beaches at
coastal camp sites. For more details, visit

Campers should be prepared to
hike approximately 8 miles per
day over rough terrain, live in
community; participate in spiritual development activities;
learn backpacking skills and sleep under the stars during
these multi-day hiking excursions.
All program staff are trained in wilderness first aid, CPR and
safe sanctuaries. All staff (paid and volunteer) must pass a
criminal background check for employment with Cal Pac
Camps.
COLBY TO STURTEVANT: July 19 - 25, 2015
This week long camp is open to 8th-10th graders.
This camp will start at Camp Colby where campers will spend
several days creating community together and learning basic
physical and spiritual skills for outdoor living. The week
culminates with an overnight hike to Sturtevant Camp and
stargazing at Mount Wilson Observatory. For more details,

WRIGHTWOOD TO COLBY: June 21 - July 3, 2015
This 10-day long camp is open to 10th-12th graders.
Campers will begin there adventure at Camp Wrightwood
with two days of community building and learning basic
physical and spiritual skills for outdoor living. The remainder
of the week will be taken en route to Camp Colby via the
beautiful Pacific Crest Trail and the Silver Moccasin Trail in the
San Gabriel mountains. For more details, visit

SPECIALTY CAMPS
ADVENTURE CAMP
Adventure Camp, at Lazy W Ranch, is a small-group camping
experience, with both the Jr. & Sr. High Adventure Camps limited
to no more than 12 campers. This special experience gives campers
and their counselors the opportunity to grow an incredibly close-knit
Christian community: learning about God, about outdoor living, and
adventure recreation in a safe, positive setting. Campers will spend
time each day experiencing a different aspect of our theme, “Living
in the Spirit,” and will also “adventure” in the world around us.
Campers will experience hands on practice in Christian community,
relationship building and skill development.

This week long camp is open to 6th-8th graders.
Love to try new things? Love water? Join us for this exciting week
of stand-up paddle-boarding, kayaking and surfing. Campers will
paddle-board at Baby beach in Dana Point and Kayak in the Back
Bay whilst being lead by experienced “SUP”ers and kayakers (as
well as certified lifeguards) and Surf in San Clemente (under the
instruction of trained and experienced professionals). Campers
for the Jr. High Adventure will also spend time in camp hiking to
the crosses, cooking one dinner over a fire, crafting, playing and
swimming in our beautiful pool.

This week long camp is open to 9-12th graders.
Adrenaline junkies welcome! During this exciting
week, campers will experience a variety of adventure
recreation: we’ll swing on a high ropes course, try
our hands (and feet and eye coordination) at go-cart
racing, get in the ocean with surfing and even have a
mystery adventure day where the campers will sort
out clues to discover each destination. Additionally,
campers will, of course, spend time in camp and
will also have the opportunity to hike up the Los
Pinos trail to the crosses as well as learn some basic
outdoor survival skills.

Film camp inspires a lifetime of creative thinking
through hands-on experience joining faith with
artistic expression. Learn the basic skills of
filmmaking: writing; producing; directing; acting;
cinematography; editing and more. Get an
opportunity to shoot and
edit your own movie and
meet industry professionals
from around the world of

Experience the beauty of God’s creation, explore
the ecosystem surrounding camp the interesting and
unique chapparal. Campers will engage in a variety
of activities to discover this fascinating region as well
as spend time exploring how, as Christians, we are
called to Creation care. Additionally, we’ll also
spend time in some of our favorite traditional
camp activities including (but not limited to)
campfires, crafts, swimming, playing and having
a great time together in a variety of fun nighttime activities. This week is designed for those
students who are interested in learning more
about the natural world we live in and how our
faith plays a part in that world.
