Sponsored By BARKER STOREY MATTHEWS and raising funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care A Cambridge Car Club meeting from the early 1950’s THE CAMBRIDGE CLASSIC CAR RUN Sponsored by BARKER STOREY MATTHEWS East Anglia’s Most Active Commercial Agent This year we have planned an event that starts and finishes at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, and takes in some of the WW2 military architecture which still remains in the area. On leaving the start, participants will follow a route of approximately 80 miles, mostly on quiet country roads, passing through or near some of the WW2 sites before returning to Duxford. Entry to the museum is included in the entry fee, and for those wishing to do less driving and spend more time at the museum a shorter route will be provided. The route will be defined by tulip diagrams contained in the road book. The entry fee is £45.00 per car with two occupants. An additional fee of £18.00 will be charged for each additional passenger to cover the cost of entry to the museum and other venues. All surplus funds after expenses, donations and sponsorship monies will be donated to St Nicholas Hospice Care in Bury St Edmunds. 1. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 2. Announcement The Cambridge Car Club will promote a Touring Assembly on Sunday 19 April 2015 starting and finishing at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. 3. Jurisdiction Both events will be held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association Ltd., these regulations and any additional instructions that may be issued for the event. 4. Eligible Cars and Participants The event is open to four-wheeled road cars manufactured before 31 December 1989, plus any other cars the organisers consider as “classics” or “interesting”. Please contact the Clerk of the Course should wish to discuss eligibility. All cars must meet the legal requirements to run on the road. The use of trade plates is not permitted. Advertising, trade signs or promotional displays may not be carried on any vehicle. “Period” advertising will be considered, but must be defined on the entry form, and is subject to the organiser’s approval. Cars contravening this rule will be required to cover the offending advertising before starting. Decisions on the eligibility of entries are at the absolute discretion of the organiser and are final. 5. Identification Participating cars will be identified by a “Rally Plate” to be provided by the organiser. This should be affixed to the front of the vehicle. 6. Documentation All drivers must hold a valid full driving licence. A competition licence is not required. At the start of the event participants will be issued with detailed instructions to enable them to complete the event, also additional, optional, supplementary information may be issued from time to time. 7. Insurance Participants will be required to sign a declaration that they have valid insurance appropriate to the event, in accordance with Road Traffic Act requirements. 8. Entries Entries open on publication of these regulations and close on 14 April 2015. A maximum of 60 entries will be accepted. All entries must be accompanied by the full entry fee sent by cheque or direct bank payment. Postdated cheques will not be accepted. Route Information The event will all be confined to Ordinance Survey Landranger maps 154 and 143. The maps will not be required for the event. A map showing the route will be available at the start venue for viewing. The route will be defined by tulip diagrams contained in the road book which will be issued at signing on. Marshals In order for the event to be successful we do need the help of marshals. If you are not entering a vehicle we welcome anyone that wishes to join the event as a marshal.
