These students placed 3rd for grades 9 – 12 in the March Madness Art Contest. The focus of this year’s theme was:

WHAT TO EXPECT ON CONFERENCE NIGHT!!!!
In addition to scheduling a meeting with your child’s teacher on conference night, please plan to spend time visiting the multipurpose room,
where we will have representatives from local adult day programs ready to share information about their agency and services they provide.
They will be available from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Many students after graduating from Caminiti have gone on to enroll in one of the adult day
programs. There are other options available to students and Caminiti’s transition specialist will also be available to share this information with
you. It is never too early to plan ahead and begin to explore post- secondary opportunities for your son or daughter.
In addition some teachers will be teaming up to demonstrate classroom activities. Locations will be posted on the night and will run from 6:30
to 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing you on Conference Night!
First Tee Golf
During the week of April 20th, some of our students will be learning how to play golf in conjunction
with some students from North Tampa Alternative School. The First Tee will be sending two trained
golf coaches to work with our students. Now that’s on PAR!
CAMINITI’S COMMUNITY RESOURCE NOTEBOOK
Our Community Resource Notebook can be accessed at any time and is located on the counter in the front office. Please take
time to review the information in the notebook. It provides a wide range of information about community agencies and
resources specifically for our Caminiti students and families. This includes, information pertaining to Hillsborough schools
district events, agencies for persons with disabilities, medical and dental resources, Caminiti resource mapping, general
resources for families and early childhood services, after school care/camps, as well as, transition services and post- secondary
opportunities. We request that you do not remove any of the information from the Notebook. If you are interested in any of
the flyers or brochures we will be happy to make you a copy. As a reminder the Parent Information Notebook (PIN) is also
available for review. The PIN contains relevant information pertaining to our position as a Title 1 school. It is also located in
the front office. If you have any questions or require further information regarding the Community Resource Notebook or the
Parent Information Notebook, you can ask to speak to Cynthia Duffy or Tel: 975-7611, extension 6.

WE DELIVER
Hillsborough County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the We Deliver Award. For the past nine years, the
district, in partnership with the Hillsborough Education Foundation, has honored an employee who has gone above and beyond
to deliver excellence to our students. This year, we are looking for someone who has gone the extra mile while dealing with
their own personal, life changing struggle – maybe they have remained dedicated to our kids while caring for a sick family
member, or dealing with their own illness. Anyone can nominate a district employee for the award – community members,
employees, parents, students. The winner will receive a check for $10,000 and the honor of representing so many deserving
employees, who model what this award is all about. To learn more about the qualifications for We Deliver, or to nominate an
employee go to our website: www.sdhc.k12.fl.us and type We Deliver in the search box. Nominations will be accepted until
Friday, April 17. District officials, as well as staff from the Education Foundation, will have the opportunity to surprise the
winner in early May.
