Consider enrolling your child in a session of Overnight Camp! While we pride ourselves on our quality summer camp program, Camp Jewell is also a full-service, year-round, outdoor center for group and family retreats, team building and outdoor education programs. For over 22 years, our Sunrise Mountain Children’s Center has provided the local community with a quality after-school enrichment program, serving K-6th graders at Camp Jewell. We have the ability to offer a wide range of activities that are not found in traditional after-school programs like horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, archery, as well as, indoor and outdoor climbing. We believe camp is for the entire family and so we offer a variety of family camps throughout the year! As an all-inclusive program, there’s no need to worry about scheduling activities or preparing meals! Finally, we also offer a comprehensive horseback riding lesson program in the spring and fall for local community residents. Lessons are open and cater to adults and children ages 5 and up. Riders of all skills and abilities are welcome. For more information on these or any Camp Jewell YMCA Program, please contact the camp office. We also offer both pre-camp and post-camp care. Pre-camp begins as early as 7:30am and includes breakfast. Post-camp runs from the end of the camp day to 5:30pm and includes fun activities and a snack. Plus, every Thursday campers have the opportunity to stay overnight at camp to experience what it’s like to be an overnight camper! 4/2/15 11:12 AM
