ABOUT THE SCHOOLS
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Wolverine Golf Schools are open to any and all, and are only limited by age and camp availability. All Boys Camp participants must
abide by the camp rules and regulations. Any serious violation (or
other behavior deemed detrimental to the group) will result in
immediate dismissal. No refund of tuition will be issued upon
expulsion or upon voluntary withdrawal. Cancellations made prior
to the start of camp will receive a refund of any amount paid above
the $100 non-refundable deposit.

During the boy’s day camp, the coaches
of the Michigan men’s golf team will
teach fundamentals for the short game,
give personal full-swing instruction, and
address on-course strategies. Students will
participate in skill contests and on-course
playing assignments. Coaches will lead
discussions on practice techniques and
long-term game development, as well as
college recruitment for junior players.

BOYS DAY CAMP
June 23-25, 2015
Junior golfers grades 6-12 will work to develop good fundamentals, practice habits, and course strategies. Campers
will receive individual instruction from varsity coaches,
complete nine-hole playing assignments, perform practice
drills, learn about junior tournament schedules and college
recruiting. Each participant graduates with a personalized
plan for continued improvement at the end of camp.
Camp size is limited to the first 40 participants. Tuesday–
Thursday: 9 AM — 4 PM Daily
CAMP DIRECTORS
Chris Whitten is in his fourth year as head
men’s golf coach after spending the last five as
the program’s assistant. Before coming to Ann
Arbor, he was the men’s assistant golf coach at
his alma mater, the University of Notre Dame.
Chris is a PGA Class A Member.
Assistant men’s golf coach Nick Pumford is in his fourth
year at Michigan. Nick was the assistant coach at Georgia State
University two seasons ago, but returned to his alma mater
where he was part of Michigan’s 2009 NCAA Final Four Finish.

May 23rd: Pure Ball Striking – Campers will have an
opportunity to learn the fundamentals of good ball striking and tee shots from lead instructor, Coach Pumford..
Campers will utilize Trackman Golf Radar Systems along
with V1 camera systems. Each camper will get an assessment of their game and a personalized improvement plan.
10 AM– 2 PM. Limited to the first 8 participants
July 6th: Confident Putting – With the use of SAM Putt
Lab, campers will have their putting strokes analyzed and
learn the fundamentals to confident putting. “Drive for
show, putt for dough” 10 AM– 1 PM. Limited to the first 8
participants
August 24th: Short Game Secrets – Come learn the fundamentals for a great short game. Campers will have an
opportunity to learn what the best collegiate and pro players in the world are doing to wedge it close to the hole. 10
AM– 2 PM. Limited to the first 8 participants

FACILITY
All schools and camps are held at the home of the Wolverines,
the University of Michigan Golf Course and the Weisfeld
Family Golf Center. Designed by Alister MacKenzie and
opened in 1931, UMGC is consistently rated as one of the best
collegiate golf courses in the nation. Opened in November
2011, the WFGC is a 10,000 sq ft. all-seasons practice facility
that provides space for functional training, team meetings,
locker rooms and indoor practice for the varsity golf teams.
Campers will be able to enjoy this new, state-of-the art facility.
