“Camper” is defined as any child participating in any Camp War Eagle program, including Camp War Eagle Residential Camp, CWE-365
Summer Day Camp Program, and/or CWE-365 After School Program (collectively, “Camp War Eagle”).
Camp War Eagle strives to create an environment where campers feel secure while having an enjoyable and meaningful time. One of
the ways in which we seek to achieve this goal is through the concept of a “Values-Based Experience.” Through this concept, Camp
War Eagle strives to help our campers in the following ways:
* Develop a more positive self-esteem
* Become more independent
* Develop greater self-confidence
* Learn the importance of friendship
* Interact with positive, Christian role-models
* Develop interpersonal relational skills
In order for the implementation of a “Values-Based Experience” to be most effective, and to help ensure a secure and enjoyable
environment for all campers, Camp War Eagle has identified certain expectations/rules, which all campers must observe. We also think
it is important that both parents and campers be aware of these expectations/rules prior to participation in any Camp War Eagle program.
In addition, the expectations and rules of the environment will be reviewed with your camper at the beginning of each session. Please
review these expectations/rules with your camper and then sign the statements that follow.
1. Campers are to respect other campers and staff, as well as their belongings. Campers must be respectful in their expression
through apparel, language, gestures, or writing. Inappropriate or offensive language is not allowed.
2. Bullying or abuse, in any form, is not allowed. Bullying and abuse can be both physical and emotional.
3. Use and/or possession of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, knives, firearms (except in authorized activities) and other items deemed
dangerous is strictly forbidden. Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from camp or program.
4. Residential campers must keep prescription and non-prescription medicine at the health center. Special circumstances must be
cleared by the camp’s health center.
5. Cell phones and other mobile communication devices are strictly prohibited. Other electronics, such as iPods, video games,
computers, etc., are also prohibited. Any such item brought to camp or program will be taken up and returned on Closing Day for
residential campers or at end of day for day campers/after school program participants. Camp War Eagle is not responsible for the
theft or damage to any personal property.
6. Campers will be expected to participate in all scheduled Camp War Eagle program activities unless exempt due to health or
parental restriction.
7. Inappropriate communication or physical contact with other children or staff is not allowed.
8. Camp War Eagle rules and regulations are to be followed at all times.
In order to serve all of our campers and provide a positive experience for them, Camp War Eagle implements a thorough system of
camper monitoring while each camper is in attendance at a Camp War Eagle event. If it is determined that a camper is failing to adhere
to the Camp War Eagle Code of Conduct, or is in any other way creating an environment detrimental to his or her own or others’ overall
experience, Camp War Eagle reserves the right to enforce consequences designed to correct such behavior. Consequences may
include, but are not limited to: limitation of privileges, verbal and/or written warnings, parental notification, or, in extreme cases, expulsion
from Camp War Eagle. Additionally, campers who fail to adhere to the Code of Conduct may run the risk of not being allowed to attend
Camp War Eagle or participate in Camp War Eagle programs in the future.
