Welcome to Canadian Arena Products
Since 2001, Canadian Arena Products has specialized in providing the highest quality
dasher board systems and components for indoor, outdoor and private facilities. All of our
dasher board systems and products are designed and manufactured to the highest quality,
operational and safety standards. We believe that each item that leaves our facility, be it a
full-scale indoor rink or a specific maintenance product, should meet the highest standard
in all areas.
Whether you require basic arena hardware, or a complete seamless demountable rink
board system, Canadian Arena Products can handle all of your arena needs. In addition
to our dasher boards, Canadian Arena Products offers a wide variety of arena-related

We can provide our customers with a turnkey implementation or full installation kit, with or

Indoor Dasher Board Systems
The Canadian Arena Products Cap 1 & 2 systems
are fabricated using either galvanized HSS tube
or aluminum. Using formed endplates or extruded
aluminum, these systems are in our opinion,
unsurpassed for strength and durability, and are
perfect for high use recreational and professional
facilities.

CAP 1 Fully Engineered
Lift Gate System
Canadian Arena Products is pleased to announce the
introduction of our fully engineered CAP 1 Aluminum
Lift Gate Designed with safety and ease of operation
in mind, this system is the perfect fit for both new
build arenas as well as retrofitting existing arenas.
As the Manufacturer, Canadian Arena Products has
the ability to fabricate custom widths and heights
to exacting specifications. The versatility of the
designs allows us to maintain our engineer’s stamp
while adapting to meet the specific needs of our
customer’s. System can be designed either as a
straight section or a radius section.
Our system comes standard with several safety
options including entrapment sensors, cable failure
stopping device, and a power interruption sensor to
ensure safe operation of lift gate at all times.
The CAP 1 lift gate is constructed with aluminum
upright beams, gate frame, and a galvanized HSS
top member for added strength. The lift is equipped
with a ¾ HP Logic 5 operator, which has a built in
electric solenoid brake for added operator safety.
*Manual Lift Gate includes:
Manual chain drive system, all necessary hardware
and safety flag without magnetic interrupter switch.

Custom Players, Penalty
and Time Keepers Boxes
Players and Time Keepers Boxes can be
troublesome during the design or retrofiting of an
arena. Because we fabricate right here in Alberta,
we can design whatever is necessary to have a safe
functional player’s and timekeeper’s area.
Sledge Hockey Conversion System
Canadian Arena Products can retrofit or design your
new dasher boards to accommodate sledge hockey.
HDPE panels are quickly removed and replaced with
mated acrylic panels to allow participants better sight
lines, making your arena accessible to all athletes!
Time Keeper’s Tables
Canadian Arena Products can build custom time
keepers’ tables for your facility. We can even build in
a storage area for time clock control modules.
These storage areas can be fitted with locks to
help protect expensive equipment from accidental
damage or intentional tampering!

Glazing and Spectator
Shielding
Whether it is just replacing damaged panels, glazing
an entire rink, or adding a new spectator viewing wall,
Canadian Arena Products is here to help. With our
extensive experience we can create a pleasant viewing
experience for your arena or field house. Canadian Arena
Products only uses North American made tempered
shielding. All tempered panels are etched with either
ANSI or CAN ratings. Canadian Arena Products also
offers acrylic options for your viewing needs.
No questions about the quality or safety about our
shielding, all shielding is manufactured in North America
and displays ANSI or CAN safety rating. Available in ½”
or 5/8” thickness. Custom sizes are available upon
request.
Seamless viewing panels can be inset into a custom
dasher board system to create impressive sightlines
with no posts obstructing view from seating area.
Acrylic or Polycarbonate shielding is another popular
option for various arenas and their spectator shielding
needs. Canadian Arena Products uses tested brands
such as Rinkshield®, Plexiglass® and Lexan®.
We choose not to use unknown products, and only
provide you with a quality product that will provide
years of viewing pleasure.

Shielding Supports
and Accessories
Canadian Arena Products has all the shielding
accessories you need. Aluminum extrusions supplied
by Canadian Arena Products are used to fabricate
custom shielding supports that fit any arena’s needs.
Heavy duty, fully assembled and custom cut
T6 aluminum extrusions act as strong, safe and
aesthetically pleasing shielding supports.
The Canadian Arena Products polycarbonate glass clip
is a great way to increase the safety factor of any arena.
Manufactured in two easy pieces, and simple to install
without use of any tools. This clip increases the stability
of your viewing panels while aligning the top edge of
your arena glass creating a neater more professional
appearance.
Shielding support pads are an excellent way for injury
prevention on any ice side shielding termination.
Our pads are specifically designed with an easy install
aluminum flange that fits between shielding and support,
making it virtually impossible to knock pad off during
play like adhesive pads used in arenas today.
Our Perfect Fit gasket extrusions is specifically designed
to fit both ½” and 5/8” shielding, whether glass, acrylic
or polycarbonate, this gasket will protect the edges of
your shielding and ensure a tight fit in glazing supports.

Low Emissivity Ceilings by
Canadian Arena Products
Canadian Arena Products, has teamed up with two
suppliers, allowing us to provide installation solutions for
any arena type. Not locking you into just one choice of
reflective ceiling product, we can supply and install either
Arena Shield® or Reflectix® low emissivity shielding to
your arena. Low “E” ceilings act as a barrier to radiant
heat transfer between the roof of a rink and the ice
surface resulting in reduced refrigeration pressure. A Low
“E” Ceiling radiates approx. 2% - 4% of the heat of the
roof to the ice. Canadian Arena Products can supply and
install Low “E” Ceilings which will reduce refrigeration
costs, increase consistency in ice conditions, and improve
lighting levels in arenas
Spectator Safety Netting
Spectator safety netting is an important feature of any
hockey rink design. Personal safety must be taken
seriously, and a proper netting system is the best way to
approach this. Canadian Arena Products’ netting is used
to protect the spectators, equipment, and the building
itself.
Monofilament Netting – Clear and affordable, mono
netting is available in predetermined dimensions
Nylon Netting – Available in white and black, both colors
have varying twine thicknesses and mesh sizes. Nylon
netting can be ordered in custom sizes, with or without
sewn in perimeter roping

Sports Flooring
Canadian Arena Products is proud to offer SportFloor®
flooring products. An industry leader in athletic flooring
covering anything from dressing rooms to weight rooms.
Whether it be a personal project at home or an architecturally
specified flooring system used in recreational facilities,
SportFloor® is a great option.
Stamina Flooring: An ultra durable, non-absorbent and
cut resistant product, engineered to repel sweat and other
liquids making it the best recycled rubber for a cleaner,
healthier and longer lasting flooring for Ice Rink or Weight
Room applications. This recycled rubber matting products is
excellent for both indoor and outdoor applications. Stamina
is a very affordable rubber matting product and is commonly
used player, penalty, and timekeeper boxes in outdoor rinks.
ProXL Flooring: A solid colored, dual layer, marble accent
rubber flooring tile. ProXL’s slip-resistant, textured top wear
layer provides a non-porous, safe and resilient floor finish.
ProXL is a great fit for weight rooms, ice rinks, fitness centers
or home gyms.
ReAction Flooring: Engineered for durability and versatility,
ReAction performs well under the abuse of weights, skates,
cleats, and other heavy equipment. Surface finish does not
require waxes or finishes.

CAP 3 Outdoor Dasher Systems
The Canadian Arena Products CAP 3 outdoor dasher
board system is the ideal fit for the extreme temperature
swings of our Canadian Climate. Specifically designed
with our Canadian Community leagues in mind, the CAP
3 system is fabricated with fully galvanized steel frames
for durability, and rabbeted ½” UV stabilized HDPE
panels that allow for seasonal shifting with temperature
changes. This budget friendly system can be modified
with an array of options from players’ boxes to covered
player’s sheds and can be installed on curbs, slabs and
concrete piles. A fit for any outdoor facility, anywhere!
Because we manufacture right here in Alberta, custom
rinks are always welcome, there is no limitation to the
size of your rink, we are here to serve your needs.

Playing Surface Options
Canadian Arena Products can help you with your indoor
or outdoor surface. Working with our strategic partners,
we can provide you with a turnkey package. If you are
looking for concrete piles, a concrete curb, a full slab,
or an asphalt surface, Canadian Arena Products is your
source for the whole package deal.

Chain Link Shielding
Chain link shielding is an integral component in
outdoor hockey rinks. It has a variety of applications,
namely to protect the spectators, equipment, and
personal property such as buildings and vehicles.
By installing a chain link fence shielding system,
communities can save on maintenance costs by
decreasing the amount of property damage.
We use galvanized steel chain link mesh (fabric) and
components which not only ensures durability, but
safety. Normally, the fence posts are installed through
the sill plate of the dasher boards (similar to glass
installation in an indoor rink) and the chain link mesh
is placed and tensioned at or near the center of the
board system. We use a minimum of two horizontal
tubes throughout the fencing system. The top tube is
a continuous run for each height of chain link fencing
being used. A third horizontal tube is added to the
system in high play areas, which minimizes “curling”
of the fabric. We use only 6 gauge mesh for outdoor
rink applications as 9 gauge wears prematurely and
is prone to significant distortion over time.
Typically the chain link system is 6’ tall on the ends
and corners and 4’ tall on the sides but custom
heights are always an option. Some clients choose
only to put chain link fence shielding systems in the
ends and corners. Whatever your needs are, we will
be happy to assist you.

CAP 4 Field House Dasher Boards
The CAP 4 field house dasher board system is one
of our most versatile products. At CAP our design
team will produce a field house to your specific sizing
requirements. Frames can be made from heavy duty
HSS steel or Aluminum. Finish on frames can be
galvanized, powder coated with any color you can
imagine, or simple anodized aluminum. As far as
viewing and sightlines go, CAP can provide tempered
glass viewing panels or even a frameless tempered
glass section of dasher boards.
Shielding can be either acrylic panels, tempered
glass, or taller dasher board frames.
Netting, divider curtains, synthetic turf, and
basketball equipment can also be added to your field
house system which will create a versitile, multi sport
area within your facility.

With our one application paper line kit, two people can do the
entire job in about an hour. Just place and roll, no messy paint,
no spills. One lot contains all necessary paper markings to do
4 NHL regulation rink pads, excluding goal creases. Lines are
made with15lb paper, making our product stronger and darker.

duty plate steel and tube. After fabrication is complete,

Divider Walls and Curtains
Divider Walls
Canadian Arena Products manufactures and installs custom
divider walls. Easy to assemble and manufactured from either
HSS steel or aluminum, these light weight divider walls are
perfect for recreational centers or to act as an ice divider.
Our Canadian made HDPE panels are used to clad this
product giving the purchaser a variety of options for colors
ensuring dividers go with the existing color schemes in the
center.
Crash Mats
Need crash mats? Canadian Arena Products can custom
fabricate crash mats for your arena needs. Using Mirafoam®
as the cushioning agent, and a heavy vinyl jacket, these pads
