C. Grounds and Maintenance1. Rubber mat in playground- bids?
Andy (Mowing & More)-removal of old mulch and leveling is necessary. Replacing with wood
mulch is the most economical. Rubber mulch would work best with the standing water
currently in the park. Biggest part of the project will be preparing the space for mulch. Andy
will be getting bids for rubber mat and rubber mulch.
2. Andy- Mowing & more
Not currently getting competitive bids. Andy: Has heard nothing but good things from
members of the neighborhood. Updates and recommendations: Park- 1. Playgroundvegetation and weeds, new mulch. 2. North side of the grassy common area is mossy and wet,
leaving ruts. Andy is hoping to turn off the sprinkler zone, he believes there is run-off is coming
from neighbors sprinklers. Clive: adding an additional drain, assist drain. Andy will get quotes
for additional drains. 3. Trees at entrance to the park need to be trimmed. Low hanging
branches on trees in the common area. The recommendation is once per few years.
Considering watering every other day or for only 10 minutes per day is recommended. Sunday
and Tuesday watering is recommended by Andy.
Andy will also replace caps on the fence in the entrance to the park.
Bryan will also research playground mulch/mat to get a quote.
D. P/R Social / Newsletter1. Building committees for summer functions, two neighbors replied showing interest in helping with
neighborhood functions.
2. Golf Outing is planned for July 11, update in March (Brad)
2. Huntington will donate $750 for a family movie night/pig roast. Ask Tami if she knows if a donation
from a business is acceptable. Tad will move forward once verification on by-laws has been made. P/R
Committee will start planning after verification.
New Business:
1. Lawyer to rationalize by-laws & deed restrictions- vote to move forward to spend $2000 to
combine or rationalize documents, along with enforcing issues in the neighborhood.
2. Smart Meters: A fee to opt out has been put into place. Nick Cristea is encouraging neighbors to
