First Friday Mainstage (Corner of 4th and Court)
There’s definitely no place like home. Want to meet Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin
Man, Lion and Toto? Get to the mainstage at 4th and Court from 6:30-7:30
to get your picture taken with these classic characters. Make sure to bring
your camera! Upload your pics and use the hashtags #NoPlaceLikeHome
#CantonFirstFriday. Make sure to check out the yellow brick road running
through the Arts District, the caricature artist, and balloon bender!
Canton Museum of Art (1001 Market Ave North)
First stop! Opens at 5:00 – 7:30pm. “Home is Where the HeART is:
Celebrating Stark County Artists”. Massillon Museum will have an
education station where kids and adults can screen-print their very own
Stark County postcard! The Canton HeART Guild will be promoting the
upcoming CMA fundraiser “In the gARTen of good & evil.”
Stark County Library (715 Market Ave North)
bikeSMART Launch Celebration from 5-7pm. Check out library’s latest
FREE service: bikeSMART, Stark County’s Bike Share. Stop by the library to
take one of the bright red bikes for a spin, play games, win prizes and have
a snack. Library card registration and bikeSMART registration will be available. Canton City School District students will help kick off summer with an
art display and a special performance by the Summer Band Camp students.

Juilliard Arts Center “3rd Space”. We will be having bubble give aways,
poppy making centers, face painting and nail art with Oz characters and a
yellow brick road.

Theres no place by home! Saluting all the downtown businesses who have all
had the Heart, The Brains and the Courage to make downtown Canton their
Home!! They will have a drink special called “Liquid Courage” for the faint
of heart!
Lynda Tuttle’s Art Center (209 6th St. NW)
Sandy Paradis’ “Life By The Water” highlighting the excitement of Florida
fish, sea turtles, crabs, water birds, lakes and ponds. Come be refreshed by
these fun, vibrant, colorful watercolor paintings
The Hub Art Factory (336 6th St. NW)
SWARM, A new insect themed exhibit from Kat Francis and Monster Steve
Ehret. Come for the creepy crawly art and stay for the fun Hub atmosphere
and live music.
The Auricle (601 Cleveland Ave. NW, entrance on 6th)
Bar opens at 5pm at the Auricle. Dance night from 11pm-2:30am.
Journey Art Gallery (431 4th St. NW)
Mac Worthington is showing “Urban Sprawls” a show of new paintings depicting metropolitan views in vivid color. JAG is also showing one of a kind
art dolls from two artists. Charity Gangale, a Cleveland artist known for her
murals, is showing her art dolls for the first time. Local artist Li Hertzi is
joining in the fun by bringing us her latest art doll creations and more.
Snarky Art Studio (406 McKinley Ave. NW)
Participants will be “on a roll” with this community project. Take a chance
and try your luck as we create a geometric merger of color and shape. The
Classroom will have open studio drawing with all materials provided for any
visitors who wish to create drawings for an onsite Clothespin Show in progress all evening long. Experiment with our supplies and add your work to the
wall. Question of the month: Name a subject, skill or topic you feel should be
a mandatory requirement to graduate from High School.
