1st Annual Marine Sea Market and Yard Sale
Friday May 15, 2015 and Saturday May16, 2015
10:00am to 4:00pm
Notice to all merchants, brokers, traders, mooncussors, scavengers, and scoundrels. Welcome aboard! You are
invited to join us at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum’s 1st Annual Flea Market and Yard Sale to exchange, barter,
gift, haggle, and sell your good used marine gear, equipment and paraphernalia. Join us and set up a table. Or
raise a tent or rent a slip to market your used boating treasures, marine art, sea chests, flotsam and jetsam, crusted
trinkets, buxom figureheads, and other such bounty….even your boat! Rummagers lie in wait, so please join us
at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum’s 1st Annual Marine Flea Market and Yard Sale.

APPLICATION
Please complete the application below and return the fully completed application along with the appropriate
entrance fee to the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. Please make all checks payable to the Cape Cod Maritime
Museum and note on check “2015 Flea Market” All applications must be received no-later-then Friday, May 8,
2015 at 4:30 P.M. to be considered.

Invitation to exhibit: Invitation is extended to casual Individuals selling marine yard sale type items,
commercial vendors selling marine oriented crafts and merchandise, and marine oriented nonprofit organizations
such yacht clubs, boating organization and the like.
Booths and Fees: Outside booth spaces are 10’ x 10’ and popup tents are welcome. Inside booth spaces are also
available within the museum itself, boat shed, and also undercover in two 30’ x 60’ event tents with 8’x10’ booth
spaces. Boats may be displayed on land and there are a limited number of slip spaces for boats under 25’ feet in
length. The applied fees are for both days of the event.

Things you need to know…
Exhibitors: Exhibit space will be made available for both casual individuals wishing to sell their used yard-sale-type
marine gear as well as commercial vendors selling marine and marine related merchandise. In addition, invitation is
extended to non-profit organizations whose mission and focus is on maritime related endeavors. There will be no charge
for nonprofits whose mission is based upon maritime interests.
*Fees: Booth fees noted in the above table vary according to location and vendor category. Fees for members of the Cape
Cod Maritime Museum (CCMM) are discounted, but please note that all exhibitors are invited to become a member of the
museum for the cost of an Individual Membership which is $35.00. And…as part of a promotional invitation, for the cost
of the Individual Membership you will receive a Family/Corporate Membership (valued at $50.00)…. And also, the applied
discount offered to museum members will be applied to your booth fee. Please contact us and we will tell you how.
Exhibits: All tables, tents, and display equipment will be supplied by the applicant. Tents will be no larger than 10’ X
10’ unless approved by the event committee. All tents must be certified to be fire retardant and proof of its certification
must be documented and accompany the application. Boats may be displayed with or without a trailer.
Electricity: No electricity will be provided and generators will not be allowed.
Security: Overnight security will be provided, but the neither the Cape Cod Maritime Museum nor the Town of Barnstable
will be held liable for any losses.
Local and State Laws: All exhibitors must abide by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the rules and
regulations of the Town of Barnstable.
Attendance: Exhibitors are required to man their display at all times. Early breakdowns on closing day will not be allowed.
Weather: In the event of inclement weather, participants shall be notified by email no later than 8:00 am that the event has
been cancelled. You should consider that the event will continue if you do not receive cancellation notification. As our
booth fees are required to cover all costs, unfortunately refunds for weather cancellation will not be issued.
Setup: Vendors who wish, may set up on Thursday afternoon between the hours of 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Setup the day of the
sale will be between 7:00 am and 10:00 am
Exhibitor Information: All exhibitors will receive additional information with parking instructions, setup instructions,
and the like via email, or by special instructions from the exhibitor. Please feel free to contact the Museum at the contact
information give herein.
Release: The undersigned does hereby forever discharge, release and hold harmless the Cape Cod Maritime Museum and the Town of
Barnstable of and from any and all manners of actions, suits, damages or claims whatsoever in law or equity, from loss or damage,
including any consequential damages, to the undersigned property or person, or to the undersigned’ assignees’ property or person, in
connection with the Cape Cod Maritime Museum Marine Flea Market and Yard Sale held on May 15, 2015 and 2016.
