The boys tennis team defeated Male 3
to 2 in the season opener on Thursday. The team showed great effort,
sportsmanship, and team support. Bryce Anvar and Sam Stahl won
their singles matches, and Camden
Sloss/Cooper Jordan won their doubles
match to give CAL the victory. All
players gave great effort and represented the school well. Upcoming home
matches - Monday (3/16) vs. Manual,
Thursday (3/19) vs. South Oldham, and Monday (3/23) vs. Collegiate.

JACQUELINE ANDERSON NAMED SAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ATLANTA, GA. - The SAA (Southern Athletic Association) announced the women's lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of
the Week and Centre's Jacqueline Anderson (offense) and Sewanee's Crawford Horan (defense) captured the weekly honors.
Jacqueline Anderson, a junior from Louisville, Ky., scored seven
goals and had an assist to lead Centre to an 18-9 win over Millsaps
on Sunday. Six of her goals came in the first half, helping the
Colonels pull out to a comfortable lead early in the game. Anderson also tallied four ground balls, two draw controls, and two
caused turnovers in the game.
Jacqueline Anderson is a 2012 CAL graduate.

dramatic fashion. It took 3 Overtimes to defeat the Timberwolves

Requirements
Players must be a 4th or 5th grader during CAL 2014-15 school year.
Have desire to play baseball in competitive league environment.
Estimated 10 game league season with a single elimination tournament.
Able to begin play right away. We will move very quickly to games. Season is late-March-May.
We encourage the kids to also play on another competitive team. Treat this as your second team.
Information meeting
There will be an information meeting on Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m.
Meeting address: 1835 Cargo Ct at Wildflour Bakehouse (Bluegrass Industrial Park)
Roster/tryouts will be determined by number of interested players and at coaches’ discretion.
We will play in a private school only 5th/6th grade league at area private schools.

If you know of another potential player, please let us know name and email address right away.
Practice
Practices will begin almost immediately, possibly 1-2 days per week,
and depend on weather and facilities.

Estimated--$120-$150 (depends on number of players)
