GALAXY® AF-6300 Display
Outdoor monochrome, full Matrix displays
The monochrome AF-6300 display provides mass transit passengers with up-to-the-minute schedules, destination information
and advertising viewed from the train, platform or station. It guides patrons with 8mm or 12 mm pixel spacing for clear
text which is legible from a wide range of viewing distances. Due to its robust design and NEMA 4X industrial-strength
cabinet, the vandal-resistant AF-6300 can be installed and easily maintained in outdoor locations such as bus stops and
train platforms. The AF-6300 features wired, fiber optic and wireless communication options – making the display an ideal
solution for mass transit applications.
Features and benefits
• Range of character sizes (2.1” to 14.4”) supports ADA requirements and
provides maximum content flexibility and easier readability
• NEMA 4X rating allows the cabinet to withstand extreme weather conditions,
brake dust and corrosive environments
• Application of conformal coating to all electronic components provides
protection from harsh environmental conditions
• Venus® 1500 protocol easily integrates with existing software used by most
system integrators
• RS-232, RS-422 or Ethernet (wired or fiber) communication options allow for
flexible installation
• Cabinet structure meets the 2009 International Building Code, allowing the
display to withstand earthquakes and hurricanes
• A pixel test allows central control the ability to monitor LED status
• A legibility threshold feature blanks the display should a configured number
of LEDs fail.
• In the event of communication loss to the display, the sign has the ability to
be configured to blank

one pixel separator between characters. Contact

with 100 percent of the pixels at full intensity
and the sign controller. Total watts excludes any
additional auxiliary equipment. These numbers
should not be used to calculate site power
