equipment is only as good as the cables that transmit the signals. It is important to recognize that the cables that come with
your components are not necessarily the best cables for your system.
Consider the following when selecting your home theatre cables:
Conductivity – OFC (Oxygen-Free Conductor)
Look for materials that provide the least amount of electrical resistance. Thicker cables are better for signal transfer.
Connectivity – Gold Plated Connectors
Cable connectors should be designed to provide secure contact to the component. The best connectors are gold-plated
to avoid corrosion.
Protection – EMI/RFI Shielding
All around us, there is Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from such things
as radios, phone lines, microwaves, TVs, air conditioners and even florescent lights. Braided copper shielding or foil
