Caulfield Primary School is holding a fundraising Silent Auction during the fete in an effort to raise funds .
RULES FOR SILENT AUCTION
1. Silent Auction
1.1
The items in the Silent Auction Catalogue will be offered for sale in accordance with these rules.
1.2
The auction will open at 10:00am Sunday 22 March 2015 and will conclude at the nominated time of 4:00pm. On the day, you will be notified of
closing ten minutes before the official closing time. If you are the successful bidder you will be located and goods will be available for payment and
then collection from 4:30pm.
1.3
A photograph of each item for auction will be on display throughout the day, and will be accompanied by a bid sheet.
1.4
CPS presents items verbally and in writing as correctly as possible and is not liable for correctness of the descriptions or the condition of the item.
1.5
While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, any values attributed to items during the course of the promotion are estimates only.
2. Bidding
2.1
A bid is made on the bidding sheets provided by inserting the details of your full name, telephone number and amount of the bid.
2.2
A bid is an unconditional offer to purchase the item being auctioned, which you cannot retract from after the conclusion of the Silent Auction.
2.3
You may make as many bids as you like throughout the day. Bidders may submit multiple bids however the highest bid submitted per bidder
supersedes all other bids made by that bidder. Bidders cannot use the ability to submit multiple bids to lower their own previous bids.
2.4
People under the age of 18 are not eligible to make bids. Parents must bid for the child.
2.5
Each fresh bid must exceed the previous bid by at least the “minimum increase” nominated on each bid form.
2.6
The highest correctly recorded bidder at the nominated closing time will be the purchaser. If, however, there is a reserve price on an item and that
reserve price is not met, then the item can either be offered for live auction or deemed not sold. If a dispute arises, the Fete Committee will
determine the dispute.
2.7
All sales are final and there will be no exchange or refund on items.
3. Payment
3.1
Payment of the purchase price must be made by the purchaser:
3.1.1 All items must be paid for and collected by Wednesday 25 March, 2015 otherwise they will be offered to the next highest bidder.
3.1.2 By EFTPOS, MasterCard, VISA, OR Cash to Caulfield Primary School. Note: there is an ATM located across the road from the school on
Glenhuntly Road or we will have credit card facilities available on the day or in the following days.
3.2
Arrangements need to be made at time of notification as to when item will be picked up.
4. Your responsibility
4.1
Upon payment for the item purchased, property and risk in relation to that item will pass to the purchaser, with the result that the purchaser will be
responsible for the item from that time on. All deliveries or collections of items are the responsibility of the purchaser.
4.2
All items not collected by Friday 27 March 2015 will be considered forfeited; any payments will not be returned.
