Leadership Arts is an innovative nine-month leadership training program that prepares people to serve on nonprofit Boards of Directors and increase their civic engagement. Leadership Arts educates, inspires and equips professionals from all sectors to be effective community leaders. It is the only program of its kind in the region focused on arts & culture. The program meets monthly from September through May. Sessions are typically on the second Wednesday of the month from 12 noon to 5:00 pm. Topics include strategic planning, advocacy, governance, fundraising, legal issues and current issues in the arts. Each session is hosted at a different cultural venue. Guest speakers are subject matter experts, arts leaders and business professionals. Participation in Leadership Arts automatically enrolls you in the Leadership Arts Alumni Network, which offers regular social gatherings, networking with other leaders, and ongoing board education. Participants are expected to make every effort to attend each session. Tuition Tuition is $1,100 for CBCA Member company employees. If three or more employees participate, tuition is $900 per person.
