listen to his voice (1)? How willing are we to do his will
(Ps)?
For Reflection: How do we listen Christ’s voice when
He calls us to be disciples?
Daily Mass and Snow Policy
Now that we are in the winter months, let us reiterate
our snow policy with regard to daily Mass. If Baltimore
County Schools are closed due to weather, then daily
Masses are canceled. If Baltimore County Schools are
one or two hours late, then the 7:00 AM Mass is
canceled, but the 9:00 AM Mass will go on as usual.
This will allow our maintenance crew time to clear the
parking lots and sidewalks. In any event, use your best
judgment. God would rather you be safe than come to
daily Mass in bad weather.
La Bautismo del Señor
Enero 11, 2015
sacramento.

Due to our bulletin early submission dates, it was not
possible for me to write this short message before. Now
that I have the opportunity, I wish to thank all who
enhanced our Christmas worship with their gifts of
service at the altar; in the choirs and music program; in
their service as sacristans, ushers and greeters; in the
Children’s Liturgy and Pageant; in the decorating of the
churches and the hall; in the wonderful service given to
the poor and needy through the St. Vincent de Paul
outreach; and the wonderful sense of Christian
Community at Sacred Heart. May you all have a happy
and blessed New Year.

Christian Formation and Evangelization
DO YOU KNOW what we mean by Ordinary Time?
This week the Church calendar returns to Ordinary
Time. When most of us hear the word ordinary we
immediately think common, routine or normal.
However, the Church reminds us that this new season
we enter is anything but normal. The term Ordinary
Time comes from the Latin root ordinalis meaning
counted. This reminds us that our time – our days, our
months and our years—are counted or ordered. We are
counting until Christ comes in glory as King of all
creation.

Social Justice
Just as the commandment "Thou shalt not kill
sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value
of human life, today we also have to say "thou
shalt not" to an economy of exclusion and
inequality. Such an economy kills...The excluded are
not the "exploited", but the outcasts, the "leftovers". Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel, 2013.

Sykes Toy Project
On behalf of the Sykes Toy Project I thank St. Vincent
the Paul Sacred Heart Church for the generous donation
to our project. This year we were able to donate toys to
over 500 needy children in our community.
Additionally, a truck load of toy was given to the Bea
Gaddy foundation in Baltimore City.
This project is only successful due to God guiding our
volunteers and the many individuals contributing in
various ways. We thank you all.
Blessings for 2015
