Spookhill itself is
situated +-4km from the
start, and got its name
from an optical illusion,
making the uphill seem
like a downhill from a
certain point..quite
spooky... the HIGHEST
HILL of the course is
+- 6km from the start
(at Picasso Street).
General information
• Refreshment tables will be provided at regular
intervals.
• Tog bag security facilities will be provided, at own
risk. (Please ensure that your bag is clearly labelled).
• Helderberg Harriers and WPA does not take
responsibility for lost or stolen items.
• Coke/Water will be provided at the finish.
• Refreshments will be on sale after the race.
• No gas braais permitted at the venue.
• Medals to the first 1 300 finishers.

Rules for 15km race
• Licensed athletes must wear club colours with 2015
licences on their vests (front and back).
• Entry cards must be in the runners possession
during race.
• All entrants must be 15 years or older on the day of
the race.
• Time limit for the race is 2hours 15minutes.
• Age category tags (eg, 40) must be worn on the front
and back of the vest, if runners wish to be eligible for
category prizes. Runners should enter the age category
corresponding to their cronological age, but may enter a
younger category down to senior.
• Temporary licensed runners are eligible for age category
prizes provided they enter the relevant age group, wear
the appropriate age tags and provide proof of age.
• Juniors (born 1996 or later) wearing a senior or junior
license must display category tags (J) to qualify for age
group prizes. Juniors will count towards open
team prizes.
• Club colours must be worn to qualilfy for team prizes.
• Runners must obey Marshalls/Traffic officials.
• The organisers and WPA accept no responsibility for any
accident or injury resulting from participation in
this event.
• No personal seconding will be permitted except at
official refreshment stations.
• For safety reasons the use of personal music players during road races is strongly discouraged.
Any person using such device in contravention of IAAF
Rule 144.3b who fails to obey a reasonable instruction
from a race official may be disqualified and shall not be
eligible for individual or team prizes.
• No race numbers will be issued.
• Unlicensed athletes must wear clothing without
advertising and the temporary license on the front of
the vest.
