Dear Quilters,
Happy New Year!!!!
I wish all of you a Happy, Happy
New Year! 2010 was a busy year
especially with the Sewing Room
moving across town. Moving the
Sewing Room next to the Quilt
Basket was the right decision for all
of us. Bob (my husband, you probably seen him at the store), was and
still is grateful for the move. I’m
grateful for the best staff possible and I am grateful to all
of you for your support and friendship. My way of thanking you is by always looking for new and exciting fabrics
and products. We continually learn and teach new techniques, whether it is for hand or machine projects.

The
The Quilt Basket will have several hand project clubs,
Silver Thimble for hand embroidery lovers and Wild and
Woolly Club. Cathy has designed a new wool project just
for the club. Mary Beck is so excited, about the Cutwork
Software and her serger, and it shows, when she teaches.
If you know anyone who wants to learn how to sew,
Meggan is teaching a Beginner’s Sewing Class. This is a
wonderful time to start sewing, with so many fun projects
available for new sewers. If you want help in your garment
sewing, Meggan is also teaching an advanced/ beginner
garment class. Kathy is re-teaching “Groovy Girls Sewing
Club” but in the evening. We had many requests for the
first series to be offered in the evening, so your request
has been answered. Sue will be doing a Session II of “Be
Dazzle”, what a dynamic quilt. If you did not take Session
I, you may be able to take Session II, just ask Sue. Come in
and see Suzanne’s fabulous “Pillow of Circles”. What a fun
pillow, makes a great decorative touch.
BERNINA offers live webinars not only to educate, but to
show how easy projects can be with the right accessories
and instructions. Many of the webinars are free and you
can take home all the instructions on a CD for only $5.00.
If you haven’t attended any of our webinars, please stop in
for one hour and see for yourself. “All About Me” (machine
embroidery), Virtual BERNINA Club (quilting, garments,
crafts, etc.), and BSSP are the regular webinars we offer,
for more information, read the newsletter write-ups.
Watch your e-mail for information on special events and
special guests. I finally got on board and the Sewing Room
is on Facebook. For our business ease, we are combining
the SR/QB, examples are our newsletter, e-mail and now
Facebook.
