PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Principal’s Message
Chand Bagh School (CBS) is a happening place. We take pride in the
fact that we innovate and try to do something novel on a day to day basis..
For this we provide an ideal environment in which the students can flourish.
I hope the School prospectus will give an idea of the activities, routines
and ventures undertaken at this seat of learning.
Like any boarding school, we follow a three pronged approach - studies,
sports and character building. Over the years we have excelled in all three.
We have had good results, our children have shown high standards in a
variety of games and displayed admirable personality features. Like any
progressive organization, we want to improve upon and set higher
benchmarks for the future. Therefore, I call upon you to trust us with your
precious child and we shall endeavor fully to rise to your expectations.
The sprawling campus in a scenic location, beckons the child to rise to
the challenge and respond with full dedication, zeal and hard work. We
believe that education is a joint effort and a partnership between parents and teachers. At Chand Bagh we have
regular Parent-Teacher Meetings and discuss the progress of the child. The format which we use is the 21st Century
concept of Pupil Personal Tutor (PPT). Under this strategy a student is assigned to a teacher who is his mentor and
guide. The children with one PPT, function as a family unit and this helps in improving the learning skills.
I welcome your child to the CBS fraternity and hope he will prosper from the ample opportunities that will come his
way.

having its own characteristics and environment, distinguishing it from the day schools, grammar schools, boarding
schools or a combination thereof. At Chand 8agh School the entire community of students, teachers and their families,
staff, servants share their problems, anxieties, joys and sorrows. This develops an ethos wherein the School becomes
a living and pulsating extended family.
Residing and working together in an environment which is their home and abode, the interaction between student,
teacher and community, as a whole, helps in achievement of wider goals. Indeed friendliness and mutual trust is a
salient feature of life at Chand Bagh School. The on campus atmosphere and environment is stimulating, inspiring
and conducive to creative activity, learning and inquiry. This serves as a tool to prepare boys for the challenging,
fast changing and demanding contemporary world.
The success of such a system depends upon the selection of competent and dedicated teachers of the highest
calibre and motivation. Great pains are thus taken to select the teachers and to facilitate them in effective discharge
of their duties.
Teacher/student ratio is maintained at 1: 10 to ensure individual attention. In addition, each boy is assigned to one
Master who acts as his tutor, friend and the mentor. The emphasis is on more informal relationship between teacher
and boy. Similarly discipline is based on Cooperation and common sense rather than authority.
A unique component of the Vision is to inculcate dignity of labour and to serve the community by engaging in SOCially
useful productive work.
The resolve is to show that our next generation is worthy and capable of leading the world.
