MATCH BRIEFING
REGISTRATION
All shooters must complete registration in person to include signing the range waiver form.
Registration times are on page 5, and shooters will also receive an email with the times and locations.
All squadding was completed online prior to the in-person registration process. The stats personnel will
not be able to move any shooters to a different squad during the in-person registration process.
SHOOTING TIMES
Friday shooters will start as soon as the Range Master has approved all stages and a short staff meeting
has been conducted. It is our goal to conduct the staff meeting at 0830 and have first shots fired at
0900. Saturday shooters will start promptly at 0800. Please report to your start stage 15 minutes prior
to your starting time in the morning.
Shooters are expected to stay with their squad. Missing your squad's start time will result in a DNF for
the stage unless prior arrangements have been made with the Range Master or Match Director. Early
starts are allowed on a stage as long as your entire squad is present and all shooters/staff agree to
start early.
RANGE RULES / RANGE SAFETY
Palmetto Gun Club is a COLD range during all shooting events. There shall be no handling of firearms
unless you are in a designated safety area or under the direction of a range officer. CARS ARE NOT SAFE
AREAS! All firearms must be in a bag, box, holster, etc. all other times. No ammo, snap-caps, dummy
ammo, etc. will be handled in the safe area. There are no exceptions! Also, please remember to wear
your eye and ear protection. This also goes for all bystanders/family members that may be joining you
on the range. NO OPEN CONTAINERS OF ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON THE RANGE at any time.
The Blue Bullets 2015 South Carolina State Championship match is a sanctioned Level II USPSA event.
This match will operate under the rules published in the most recent edition of the USPSA Competition
Handgun Rules. Chronograph procedures will follow the rules described in Appendix C2, with a
minimum of eight rounds collected from all competitors. Competitors may also be selected at random
to go through the chronograph for a second check.
HOT AREA / TEST FIRING
The test firing of guns may be permitted at the chronograph area pending the availability of the Range
Officer on the chronograph. This hot area is being offered as a courtesy, and it should not be expected
that the hot area will be available at any certain time of the day, if at all.

vendors who have been pre-approved by the Match Director are permitted use of this area.
PRIZES / TROPHIES / RECOGNITION
The Blue Bullets 2015 South Carolina State Championship Match is a cash payout match. Division, class
and category winners will be given cash awards and a plaque as per appendix A2 of the USPSA rule
book. This means that divisions must have a minimum of 5 competitors per division for recognition,
and classes must have a minimum of 5 competitors per class for recognition. Individual categories will
be recognized of there are a minimum of 5 competitors per division category.
In addition to the above, South Carolina champions per division will receive a cash award and plaque.
The amount of each award and the number of awards per class will be solely contingent on the overall
number of paying shooters and the number of paying shooter per class. A competitor may receive all
plaques for which he or she merits, however a competitor is only entitled to one cash award. The cash
not awarded because of multiple winners will be returned to the pool for all prizes. The total amount
of cash awards for any division will be based upon the number of competitors in that division. A class
winner in one division might receive more than the same class winner for another division, but it is our
goal that the distribution of prizes reflect the number of competitors in each division.
Individual categories are as follows :



