MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL AJUDICATION GUIDELINES Festival Performance will feature works from middle and high school students, faculty and guest choreographers the evening of October 18th at the Knight Theater PROCESS An adjudication committee will blind review video of all works submitted. Teachers and students are invited to submit works for performance consideration. All videos must be submitted with an application and $15 fee per piece (works will not be adjudicated without the fee or application). Written feedback will not be available as a part of this process. Schools may submit a maximum of 4 works, including faculty, guest and/or student pieces. RULES  Faculty/guest work must be 3-10 minutes in length.  Student works must be 3-6 minutes in length.  Works may be submitted in any of the dance genres including but not limited to ballet, modern,         jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theater, African, Bharatanatyam, etc. Choreography may be that of a faculty member, guest choreographer, or currently enrolled student. Each student choreographer’s respective teacher must verify by signature that his/her piece is in fact student choreography. Dancers must be currently enrolled full-time as a student at the middle or high school that is submitting the work(s). Works submitted must be a final product in costume. Pieces may be recorded from a previous performance. Please only send the specific work that is to be adjudicated, not the entire dance performance. If sending DVD: One DVD with all dance works needs to be labeled with name of piece, school name, address, and teacher contact. Please do not add school identification within the video, to maintain the integrity of the blind review process. Please make sure the video of the work has adequate lighting. DVD’S, APPLICATIONS AND FEES MUST BE RECEIVED BY AUGUST 29TH. Videos may be submitted by mail, youtube, or drop box. If using drop box, make sure you create a folder that contains all your submissions; then share that folder with [email protected].
