SPRINGLAND
PLANTS NOW
ON SALE
Our new range of plants
grown in Perth by residents
based at Upper Springlands
or working at the Ladeside
Garden Centre can now be
clearly identified by our
new logo.
The charity which now has
merged with its partner, the
community interest company,
Giraffe Trading was started by
James Alexander back in 2008
when he identified a work-based
gap in provision for people
with learning disabilities and
mental ill health in Perth and
Kinross. CheckIn then gained its
charitable status in 2010.
To start off the celebratory year
the charity is holding a Grand
Raffle with a huge number of
prizes generously donated by its
many local supporters. Tickets
are on sale at all the venues
and the draw will be held on
Saturday 9th May.

currently in planning include a
fashion show, pamper night, golf
competition and flower and apple
festival.
We do hope that other local
businesses and organisations will
consider CheckIn and Giraffe and
the important work it is doing
locally and run some small, fun
fundraising events. To discuss
any ideas or options further,
please contact James Alexander
on 449227.
The 5th Anniversary Bash will be held at the
Ladeside Centre on Friday 8th May and include
a range of local bands. Tickets are £10 (£6
concession) including food and are available
from all Giraffe venues and through CATH.
