2015-2016 ALLSTAR PACKET! JOIN THE EMPIRE!
Welcome to Cheer Savannah Allstars! We are thrilled that you have chosen to become a part of one of the most prestigious
Allstar programs in the country. Our mission at Cheer Savannah is to partner with our parents to develop our students into
world-class cheerleader and athletes by developing their bodies, mind, and character to its greatest potential. Our goal each day is
to make your child the best cheerleader HE/SHE CAN BE while instilling the values of commitment, hard work, leadership,
self-confidence, & teamwork. We are one of the very best Allstar cheer programs in the country with levels 1-5. This is our 16th
season. We have developed 6 Worlds teams, countless level 5 athletes, trained several D1 college cheerleaders, & specialize in
correct, safe, high level tumbling. Our staff is the best in the country, and we are here to inspire your child to become a winner in
all he/she does. At Cheer Savannah, you will be blown away at how quickly your child becomes physically fit, an amazing
tumbler, and a stage performer. You will also notice a transition into a strong, confident, independent, driven individual. We
push our athletes beyond comfortable & motivate them to do things they never thought possible, because WE BELIEVE! We
know children are capable of greatness and with your patience and your child's hard work, we will help their cheerleading dreams
become a reality.
We are a Christian founded organization and, therefore, we often pray after practice, before competitions, and observe Christian
holidays such as Easter and Christmas. It does not mean we are perfect or SINLESS, we simply try to sin less as we are aware of
our impact on children’s lives & take our mentorship seriously! We have non-Christian families too however. We respect all
religions, all kinds, races, sizes, backgrounds, and socioeconomic classes. We are only concerned about how you BEHAVE and
cheer. We demand that every parent and athlete at Cheer Savannah show respect and tolerance for EVERYONE. We cannot
tolerate gossip, negativity, or drama, as it will poison a program. Every child must be kind to their teammates and respect their
coaches. We are a “NO BULLY ZONE” gym, so we do not allow children to be hateful or hurtful. Everyone must cooperate,
follow the rules, LET THE COACHES COACH & provide a positive environment for everyone. We do not speak about “other
gyms” or other coaches & do not tolerate our athletes’ cyber bullying or misrepresenting our brand by spreading hate! You do
have to follow the rules & we are firm about keeping order otherwise it would be utter chaos! We have to hold everyone
accountable as not to show favoritism, so thank you for respecting our guidelines!
Like all athletes, your child will learn sacrifice, correction, losing, and working hard. And while we insist that every child feels
loved, valued, & respected, we are fair to everyone. All athletes have to earn their spot on their own merit. The reality is some
children have more natural talent, some work harder, and some are easier to coach. We coach them ALL to be their personal
best. These athletes compete together and form a bond that on stage is undeniable. Our athletes have a reputation for being
physically fit. We are highly recognized for our color scheme, “bow on the back”, choreography, dances, and performers.
Together, we have empowered the young women in our community, changed the industry and branded our program. From our
famous teams, to our fabulous moms, WE ARE A FAMILY. Our staff is committed to your child's success. We commit to you
that we won’t give up on any of our athletes or teams. We will stand by your child’s side through mental blocks and falls, and
love him/her even when he/she ‘doesn’t love us’. We refuse to let our cheerleaders’ worst moment define them nor do we hold
grudges when passion impedes a parent from good judgment! In return we ask that you give us that same grace! You must trust
us, forgive us, and support us as we spend more time & energy investing in your child than we do our own. We love kids &
coaching….we have done it for 16 years! Thank you for your business…we love working for people who believe in us!
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A TEAM, YOU MUST TURN IN:
A. The 5 pages from your TRYOUT PACKET
B. *$40 non-refundable evaluation fee
C. Copy of your child’s birth certificate (1st year athletes only)
D. Non glamour head shot of your child for new athletes only (we will not return this photo)
*EVALUATION fee is $40.00 per athlete (half price for siblings =$20). If you chose to return/continue training in May & accept
your spot in the program, you must pay $100 May training fee by May 4th. OR you can simply pay $140 to be evaluated on May

FAQ’s
1.
Elite (National) teams : practice twice per week, 2 hours per practice PLUS receive an additional hour of tumbling
training once the “fall schedule begins”! They will compete at approx 7-8 competitions around the southeast. Many are 2-day NATIONAL
EVENTS, some are 1-day local. Elite team members participate in our Big/Little sister program, end of the year banquet, team parties, and are
the only athletes allowed to receive private lessons (when we have time/space/staff). The elite uniforms are the best in the country with all of
the BLING & FLASH! We will get new ones every 3 years and this coming season will start our new cycle! Elite Teams is WHERE YOU WANT
YOUR CHILD to be if you have the resources! They will be designed to be successful & competitive! It’s where you learn the most, get better
faster, & are a part of the real CHEER SAVANNAH ALLSTAR EXPERIENCE. If you want to make school cheer, or cheer in college, this is the
track for YOU! It’s about commitment of your resources—both time & money. The Elite TEAMS are our priority & focus in the gym! All levels
& all ages can be elite---from tinys to senior coed 5.
Elite
Teams will be made up of the athletes who are proficient in those levels, can
EASILY perform those skills to perfection, will win, can afford to travel to additional events to chase a bid, willing to put in extra time or miss
proms & pageants, because THIS is their passion & priority. Will provide up to 4 opportunities to get summit & worlds bids so families of
extreme teams must be flexible as we find events that we think are best to achieve this goal! When we work out the details, we will let you
know. Elite team parents are experienced, supportive, don’t question our decisions as coaches, & let us work. We will move athletes from team
to team within the program as we see fit! If you get better, you may earn your way up. If you lose a skill you may be moved down! No ones spot
is secure on a team all year! It must be earned every week!
2.
Regional teams practice only ONCE per week for 2 hours. Regional teams therefore are less, and will compete at approx 3
‘smaller’, local /1-day competitions. One of your 3 comps may be “away” but within a 2-4 hours travel distance, which will require one hotel
night, the night prior. (The athletes incur all hotel & travel expenses). While this track is a great way to get started & obviously more
affordable, the biggest complaint is regarding lack of TUMBLING INSTRUCTION. Be clear, with only one practice a week, there is almost no
time dedicated to tumbling progression during team practices (after the summer). Therefore, we offer our “REGIONAL PLUS” track,
whereby REGIONAL ATHLETES HAVE THE OPTION OF AN ADDITIONAL HOUR OF TUMBLING to train TUMBLING SKILLS all year!
*However, to prevent chaos, overcharging, prorating, missing, canceling, refunds, & to help with efficiency in the office…once you choose this
track, you CANNOT DROP the additional tumbling OPTION! And remember, regional teams are NOT PERMITTED to receive private lessons.
If you want your child to improve her tumbling skills, this is the best option for you! In short, if you have multiple children, possibly a single
mom, or can’t afford the national team expenses, it is still an awesome experience! It’s half the time, half the money, BUT STILL CHEER
SAVANNAH!!
Q: How do you select teams?
A: We select teams to be the most competitive in each level. We base these placements on tumbling first, then stunting, but also consider
jumping, motions/dance, overall athletic ability, showmanship, memory skills, work ethic, attitude, & experience. There are no “pre-set” teams.
We take the skill level and ages of the kids that show up & form teams based on what we have at tryouts. We prefer keeping athletes in their
age groups as defined by the USASF & rarely allow athletes to skip levels or “compete up” in age. Our teams cannot WIN if we are competing
against teams with older, more experienced kids. Furthermore, it kills a child’s self esteem to put them on a team where his/her peers can do
things she cannot? Last year we let parents & kids influence us to put them on levels that they barely could do or “almost were at” & did NOT
win so we KNOW in order to be successful we must pick the best of the best. There’s no way we can know in a 2-hour evaluation exactly where
every kid should be placed to form the best teams. It will take a month, possibly all summer, to get it right! TRUST US!
Q: What is our practice schedule?
A: We have a May practice schedule to finalize team selections/roster, A different summer practice schedule for June & July, then our
regular August-May practice schedule. All practices are mandatory. No exceptions. We will let you know as soon as a schedule is devised. Some
teams practice Sundays & a weekday, some 2 weekdays. Time slots are 5-7 & 7-9 during weekdays. Sundays can be anywhere 3-9.
Q: Does everyone make a team?
A: It is our goal to place every child on a team. We do not “cut” based on skill level as we offer beginner teams! We evaluate maturity, ability
to take instruction & interact positively with their peers.
Q: What are the MOST IMPORTANT Policies AT CHEER SAVANNAH? There are 4 simple ones:
1. Can’t miss practice! Athletes must attend every single practice no matter what! If she is Sick or injured, the athlete may sit and watch, but
you have to be present EVEN if mom sits with you to ensure your well-being. Only school functions that will result in the lowering of an overall
report-card grade are excused. We work around comp school cheer & football cheer. NO BASKETBALL CHEER! If you miss a practice –there
is consequence. It could be running, could be taking their tumbling pass from the routine the following competition, it may be that she has to
squat in the back of the dance? Absences will land the child released & replaced.
2. You can’t quit the team for the season once you decide to join. 3. You must pay your bills on time so we can pay ours. Auto pay is the only
option & there are no exceptions. 4. Be nice. Be supportive! NO DRAMA & no negativity. If you post anything negative or derogatory about our
staff or program on social media or attempt to poison others by spreading your disapproval—we will call you to come take your child
immediately. You have to be nice & supportive to stay here! Never threatening, no yelling, no attacking, no gossiping…BE CHEERFUL! J
Q: There are 5 levels in Allstar cheerleading. How long does it take to advance to the next level?
A: Usually 2-3 years. There are 5 levels and you have 13 years to get there. PATIENCE & proper progression IS KEY! Our senior 5 athletes put
in TEN YEARS! Attending off-season training in the summer months is KEY in progressing your child! ALL WE DO IS TUMBLE after tryouts!
You cannot skip a level & we usually make it mandatory to serve 2 years on every level before allowing a child to move up .
We are a closed practice facility & do not have a viewing area. We call it “drop & drive”. There are times we invite parents into practice (last 10 minutes) to see their progression & cheer them on as they prepare for competition. Cheer Savannah, Inc maintains the right to refuse service at any time.

be billed to your account on the 28th of every month for the following month’s tuition. Fees are due on the 1st
of each month. On the 2nd of each month any outstanding balance will be charged to your “primary payment
type” that you entered into I Class Pro, which we require to be your bank account (but can be your credit/debit
card with a 3%fee). You can pay in person or online at www.cheersavannah.com before the 2nd to avoid auto

your statement online at your parent portal. When your account is 30 days past due, your child is made to sit
out at practice, no member items are given out (shoes, uniforms, t-shirts) and athletes are not allowed to do
privates or participate in events. Everyone MUST pay via the automatic draft & have their account info
set up! You must pay to play or we will release your child. *There will be no refunds made to anyone who is
asked to leave the program or that quits a team. You set up your own parent portal & put in your bank
account. The reason you provide a credit card is as a second payment option in case your bank account is
overdrawn, then we have another way to collect payment.

*There is no commitment by Cheer Savannah Inc or the athlete by simply trying out. Everyone will be notified of
the tryout results and will have the option to decline the position by selecting “drop the class” in your parent portal OR
you can pay the balance of May’s training fees (which varies depending on the team) if you plan to return to practice the
following week. You can withdraw from the program with no penalty by May 31st! On June 1st you are acknowledging
your commitment to the program by making your June 1st tuition payment. The below signed payment
authorization & commitment statement go into effect June 1, 2015.
1. Waiver/Release
We realize that by taking part in the sport of competitive cheerleading, the students will be instructed in tumbling,
stunting, jumping, baskets, dancing, cardio, pyramids, trampoline training, and more! We give our daughter permission to
participate in all practices & performances & do NOT hold Cheer Savannah, Inc/Cheer Savannah Booster or its staff,
volunteers, and representatives responsible for any accident or injury that might occur. Our daughter is healthy enough to
participate in vigorous activity and is not restricted in any way. The activities of competitive cheerleading and tumbling
are indeed sports and we assume the risk of such consequences by participating. We understand that this sport is
dangerous, broken bones and sprained ankles or strained muscles are normal. Additionally the activities in cheerleading &
tumbling can be potentially detrimental and we hold cheer savannah, inc/cheer savannah booster and its staff,
representatives, & volunteers harmless in such case. We give permission for our daughter to be treated by a medical
professional if treatment is deemed necessary and understand we are responsible for all medical bills and fees associated
with any injury. I am signing my daughter up for cheerleading, tumbling, and training at my own free will and agree not to
file a lawsuit against Cheer Savannah, INC/Cheer Savannah Booster, its owners, staff, coaches, representatives for any
accident, injury, or reason.

2. Authorization to DEBIT: Everyone must put a checking account option as your preferred method of payment in
your parent portal to incur your monthly fees if you choose not to pay in full. Additionally, we require a debit/credit
card to be on file as a secondary payment option in case your bank returns a payment as insufficient funds. Staple a
copy of the front and back of your debit/credit card to this form that you want on file as your 2nd payment option. I
give permission for Cheer Savannah to automatically draft my account every month via auto pay for the
tuition, booster, and summer fees that are outlined & that I owe from May 2015-April 2016. Tuition will be
debited from my preferred method of payment, which is my bank account on the 3rd of every month if I have
an outstanding balance while summer fees & booster fees will be drafted on the 15th if there is an outstanding
balance. In the event those fees are declined or returned, I agree that the balance can be charged to my credit
card on file.

3. Commitment Statement:
We agree to remain a team member for the duration of the 2015-2016 AllStar season. All items paid for
through Cheer Savannah, INC or Booster Club will be forfeited and not redeemed if we are no longer a team
member (for any reason). Furthermore, all payments are nonrefundable if we quit or are asked to leave the program
for any reason at any time. We will still owe our entire financial obligation for the season. Our commitment is to the
team! If my child quits it affects everyone on her team and their paying parents. We will be loyal and supportive
and commit for this entire season. Of course we recognize kids get burnt out, tired, frustrated and at some point will
want to quit or not come to practice but as the parent we will be responsible and see to it that they fight through the
tough times and follow through on their commitment. We recognize all fees are an annual expense & we have simply
been provided the opportunity to finance our payments over 12 months. Even in april when the season is over, or if
my child becomes injured, during summer when we are on vacation, or during holidays when the gym is closed… we
realize we will still be drafted each month because we still owe the entire annual amount. We are agreeing to pay
tuition & booster fees as well as summer fees as outlined for the season via automatic draft.
