accurate. Cheerleading is reasonably safe as long as participants follow certain guidelines.
However, there is the inherent risk of injury as in any athletic related activity. Cheerleading is an
anaerobic/aerobic activity that includes jumping, stunting, motions, dancing, and tumbling. Any
injuries incurred must be reported prior commencement of any performance to the respective Head
Coaches. TTCF ensures that safety is a main priority at all our competitions. I/we understand that
participation at this Competition is at my own risk. I/We agree to, and by signing this application
, release the sponsors, volunteers and staff of TTCF from any liability, injury, accident or illness
which may occur as a result of my participation in this Competition.

Coach Declaration

understood the following entry requirements.
1. All athletes, teams, coaches, parents and spectators agree to conduct themselves in an appropriate
manner at all TTCF events and display positive attitudes and good sportsmanship at all times. An
infringement of this 'conduct and sportsmanlike' section can result in the team being barred from
participating in TTCF future competition.
2. All teams that entered into a TTCF event will be filmed via event photographers/ videographers. TTCF
reserves the right to use this footage for promotional purposes.
3. Photography and videoing by spectators is not permitted at TTCF events unless advised otherwise and
persons in violation of this rule will be asked to leave the venue.
4. Entries will not be processed with incomplete forms, without accompanying payment, nor will they be
accepted after the due dates. Teams will not be permitted to compete unless all payments are finalized
prior to an event occurring.
5. 50% will be refunded for cancellations six (6) weeks prior to competition.
6. As a coach of a participating team I have checked and reviewed the competition rules and score sheets
prior to competing.
7. I understand that solicitation of athletes or coaches is not permitted and will abstain for such action.
8. I am responsible for the supervision of my team (s) during all official functions, including but not
limited - warm-ups, sidelines, waiting bay, and will secure an emergency response plan in the event of an
injury.

Waiver Form for Cheer

progressions, including acrobatics, lifts and tumble elements being performed.
I confirm that my routine is appropriate for the venue and performance surface. I understand that all rules
and guidelines must still be followed. I understand that the safety judge may still deduct points if a skill is
performed incorrectly or unsafely.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For cancellations received six (6) weeks prior to competition, 50% of registration fees will be refunded.
Cancellations received three (3) weeks prior to competition will result in a FULL FORFEITURE of all
monies paid.
All cancellations must be in writing to The Trinidad and Tobago Cheer Federation - Cheerleading
Championships. We will not accept cancellations by phone.
All changes will result in a $150.00 per change fee.
I have read the cancellation policy and understand and accept its contents.
I have also advised all participants, parents and chaperones of my group of this cancellation policy.

Competition General Guidelines
Teams must have the required membership for the respective divisions.
Performance Area
Teams will perform on a 40 x 40 cheer surface. All skills must originate and be completed within
the competition boundary. This is defined as the actual competition floor. No skills or transitions
are allowed outside of the boundary. Excessive out of bounds, such as stepping with both feet
completely off the performance area is not permitted and will incur a deduction.
NB. Outdoor sneakers are not allowed on the mat
Attire
A clean, vibrant, athletic appearance is desired. Cheerleading apparel, hair and make-up should
be appropriate for family viewing and suitable for safe practices and performances. Glitter
hairspray/ make-up and face tattoos are allowed. Safety judges will deduct for any outfit, hair,
make-up that they see as a safety concern. All costumes /uniforms and music must be age
appropriate.
Routine Time Limits
All routines should be all music. Timing and judging will occur with the first organized
movement or music. Timing will end with the last note of music or when an ending pose is seen
to be held.
Cheer Routine 2 minutes and 30 seconds (minimum of 2 minutes)
Music
All routines are to be performed to music. Inappropriate music will be subject to a deduction. All
music is required to be uploaded prior to competition.
A music representative must be standing by the music station at least one routine prior to your
team’s performance and should also have a spare copy on CD.
NB. All participating teams must submit music two (2) days prior to competition.
Photography and Video Policy
All spectators must be aware that photography and videoing is not permitted during the event
where an event photographer is being used. Coaches/Parents may seek approval for videoing of
their team’s performance. After the event has concluded, parents and spectators will be able to
take photos of their children and teams with their event prizes. The Trinidad and Tobago Cheer
Federation reserves the right to use photographs or video coverage of competition for
promotional purposes.
Sportsmanship
All teams, coaches, parents and spectators should behave in a sportsmanlike manner at all times.
Unsportsmanlike conduct by coaches, athletes and spectators is not acceptable. Please ensure that
all sportsmanship issues are brought to the attention of TTCF staff members during the event.
Please do not accuse or engage other teams directly. Please seek guidance from the TTCF
Management who will determine the best course of action. If poor sportsmanship is reported to
TTCF official during any competition and is determined to be true scores maybe deducted or
teams can be barred from re-entering future competitions.
Any unsportsmanlike actions, gestures or communication towards fellow teams and supporters,
judges, TTCF staff or partners by Teams, Team Administrators or Team Supporters is a serious
infringement of TTCF policies and principles. This can result in the team being barred from
TTCF future competitions.
Safety
Jewellery of any kind including rings, necklaces, piercings etc. should not be worn for safety
reasons.
This is for cheer divisions. Taping of piercings is not permitted. Fingernails should be kept to an
appropriate length. Tumbling on entering or exiting the performance area is not allowed.
Athletes should receive proper training in safe spotting and stunt progressions.
All teams must be supervised during all official functions by a qualified director/advisor/ coach
of the team. All directors, advisors and coaches should have an emergency response plan in the
event of an injury.
Disqualification
Any team that does not adhere to the terms and procedures of the competition "rules and
regulations" will be subject to disqualification from competition, automatically forfeiting any
right to prizes or awards presented by the competition, and may also forfeit the opportunity to
participation in following competition.
Technical Team
Each team will be allowed 4 persons backstage and entry into competition. Persons includes Team Manager, Coach, team assistant etc.
