Then, turn right at the road into the Zoo and drive through the open gate. Follow the right-hand
fork of the road up hill. Keep right of boarded-up mansion (Holt House), past the retaining wall,
beige trailer, then down the hill to the 6FLHQFH Building. Park on the left side of the roadway.
NOTE: Rock Creek Parkway is one-way, southbound, from 7:00am - 9:15am, and one-way,
northbound, from 3:45pm - 6:30pm, M-F.
VIA METRO
Red Line:
Travel to the Woodley-Park / Zoo station. After exiting, walk right (= south) on Connecticut
Ave., past McDonalds, to the traffic light at the Calvert St. intersection. Turn left (= east), cross
Connecticut Ave, and follow Calvert St., crossing the Duke Ellington Bridge over Rock Creek.
On the other side of the bridge, take the footpath on your left into a city park. You'll pass a dog
run, a soccer field, a basketball court, and a playground area on your right. Keep left – don’t
walk toward the playground. At the end of the park, you'll notice a barbed wire fence marking
the Zoo boundary. Walk out to the sidewalk along Adams Mill Rd. (the street in front of you),
turn left, and go in the iron gate. Follow the road uphill and walk to the right of the boarded-up
mansion (Holt House), along the retaining wall. Continue past the beige trailer on your left,
down the hill to the 6FLHQFH Building.
Green & Yellow Lines:
Travel to the Columbia Heights station. After passing through the fare card reader, turn left, exit
the station, and walk left (= west) on Irving St. for one long block. You'll come to the nearly
double-intersection of 15th St. and 16th St. Cross both at the crosswalks. Walk left (= south) on
16th St., then:
1. Right at Harvard St. NW
2. Left at Argonne Pl. NW
3. Left at Lanier Pl. NW
4. Right at Ontario Rd. NW
5. Left at Clydesdale Pl. NW
Follow Clydesdale Pl. until it ends at Adams Mill Rd. Cross Adams Mill, walk left, then through
the iron gate. Follow the road uphill, keeping right of the boarded-up mansion (Holt House),
along the retaining wall. Continue past the beige trailer on your left, down the hill to the 6FLHQFH
Building.
