Thanks to Glen Brown for these words on the March club run and the photos
in this edition:
The club run to Dayboro was well attended with about 30 cars and over 50 people
making it the biggest club run we’ve ever had. The club shared the roads with
several other clubs and a large number of bikes, cars and trucks. All Chev club
vehicles ran flawlessly while cruising up and down the mountain road between
Woodford and Dayboro. Morning tea and coffee was on the menu in Woodford, with
lunch at the Dayboro Pub. Good times and good people on the trip
Dayboro photos also on our Facebook page.

Presidents Report:
Hello All Members, New and Old,
The All American Car Show has continued to get traction on the car scene with
more sponsors on board and a lot of interest generated across various clubs and
traders. A Travel Concession has been granted by ASRF which is TC 238-01-2015 for
concessionally registered vehicles. Ads for the event will feature in the May and June
issues of Cruzin magazine.
40th anniversary celebrations and combined Xmas Party will be held on
24/25th October at Noosa North Shore. Planning is progressing with more info
in the minutes. Please call Eric Tomson on 0409 055 824 if you’re coming
or know old members who wish to attend.

QHMC Report no report this month
QHRP Report: Charles chasing up entrants, QHRP stated no more reps need to attend
meetings as very low attendance, committee meetings only reporting back to clubs (our
club decided this was not a good plan and Eric will send a letter to voice our disapproval of
this action). Charles will continue and Ian as back up. Theme for Show will be Rockabilly.
Helpers are needed on Saturday and Sunday and for the set up and pull down.
Presidents report: All American Show Flyers are out and being distributed, Elton sent out
emails to all clubs and members of the change of title to the event. Ian said the main reason
for the change is that more attendance was needed and all agreed. Very good and
favourable response has been so far from all members and other clubs , it’s shaping up to
be a fantastic event.
Harrigans Report: Everything on target at this point. Flyers to be out soon.
Runs: 22nd March meet at Club Rooms departing 9.00am picking up others at truck bay at
the other side of Ipswich.
April 19th Northside Run, There is a slight date change all in newsletter.
Raffle: Charles, Martin, Meeting closed at 8.55 pm.

ALL AMERICAN CAR SHOW (formerly Chev Super Sunday) - Show ‘n Shine and
All Makes Swap Meet combined on Sunday 19th July 2015 at Rocklea
Showgrounds. This is where American Car enthusiasts get together for a catch up.
The event is open to ALL AMERICAN vehicles. This event is proudly presented by
the Chevrolet Car Club of Queensland Inc in conjunction with the 55-56-57 Shoebox
Club of Queensland Inc. $15/vehicle and driver, Spectators $5. Food and drinks
catered by the Monaro Club of Queensland. ATM on site.

Harrigans Rod and Custom Show - Sunday 18th October 2015. Harrigans Drift Inn,
Calypso Bay, Jacobs Well. This prestige event is open to all rod and custom
vehicles - classics, street machines, hot rods, custom, vintage, veteran etc. From
6:30am for entrants, 8:30am for spectators. Show ‘n Shine $15 for your car plus one
passenger, extra $5 for judging, Spectators $5. Trade displays, entertainment, food
and drinks, engine start ups - always something new each year.

May 23-24 45th Queensland Hot Rod Show, Convention Centre, Southbank. This is the first time
that the Show will be held at the Convention Centre, and everybody at QHRP is very excited about
the change in venue. Open to all street rods, street machines, high tech, customs, competition and
special interest vehicles. There will be a special award presented at this year's show, with the actual
award name to be announced shortly. A $3,000 prize generously sponsored by Pat's Pro Resto's &
Refinishing will be handed out at the trophy presentations. Entrants wishing to nominate for this

2015 Queensland Hot Rod Show
The 2015 Queensland Hot Rod Show will be held on 23 and 24 May 2015 at the Brisbane
Convention and Exhibition Centre, Southbank. It is the first time that the Show will be
held at the Convention Centre, and everybody at QHRP is very excited about the change
in venue.
The show is open to all street rods, street machines, high tech, customs, competition and
special interest vehicles. The massive hall at the Convention Centre will not only do
justice in showcasing the priceless metal on display, but it is also an excellent opportunity
for Trade Exhibitors to present their products at a first class venue in front of thousands of
car enthusiasts!
We are now open to receiving offers for sponsorship and would love to talk to you if you
think your business would look good in a Trade Stand at our show in 2015. This year, we
are upping the anti with our online presence, which will present our sponsors with great
