Customers eagerly awaits the opening
Borogo Junction Mall where the Kazungula Choppies is located

outlet to their growing portfolio of leaving
footmarks across the country and ensuring
that all Batswana enjoy great value for their money.
The Kazungula Choppies Superstore which was
opened yesterday brought to 72, the numbers of
the retail giant’s outlets across the region.

Kazungula is located some 10 Kilometers away
from Kasane and with just 1 outlet in the vicinity,
the service was rather cumbersome as it catered
for people from across the boarder in Zambia and
Namibia. With the opening of this latest store,
Choppies was actually looking to curb the crowding
in the Kasane outlet.
Present at the official opening of the store were the
Village administrative authority among them Kgosi
Makganga of Kazungula and the people were quite
elated to have a chance to also enjoy shopping at the
new store. They waited eargely for the store to open

Instead of having a top dignitary cutting the ribbon,
this time around, the store was officially opened
by the oldest Choppies Employee Lydia Motoloki
as a way of rewarding and paying homage to her
dedicated service and hard work.
It has become a norm that wherever Choppies
opens a branch, its suppliers are also taken on
board to have some stalls in front of the store and
run promotions. A number of these suppliers were
present at the Borogo Junction Mall, where this
new outlet is situated.
In terms of entertainment, it was never a dull
moment as the local DJ Fan from Kasane, kept
the audience entertained while they awaited the
opening. There was also performances by the
local traditional group Matsosangwao and local
Dancehall performers.
