Programme from April 2015
Everyone is welcome at Cinema by the Sea, you don’t need to be a
member to see a film with us. Tickets are available at the door on the
night, online through our website, or from Looe Tourist Information
Centre, The Guildhall, Fore Street, East Looe.
All films are subject to availability and are projected in High Definition
with Surround Sound. Seats are unreserved & allocated on a
first-come first-seated basis. Tickets cannot be refunded unless a
show is cancelled.
You can save up to £40 a year on admissions by joining Looe Film
Society. Annual Membership costs just £12 (£8 from March to
September) and joining is easy. Either download an application form
from our website or fill in an application at the door.
Cinema by the Sea is run by volunteers from Looe Film Society
(Registered Charity 1115142).
We are grateful for the support of Black Sheep Websites who

Game portrays the nail-biting
race against time undertaken
by Turing and his brilliant

and genius significantly shortened the war and saved thousands of
lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British
establishment, but his work and legacy live on. 114 minutes.
Based on the real-life scandal that shocked
Victorian-era England, this is the story of
Euphemia "Effie" Gray. At 19, she married the
prominent art historian and critic John Ruskin,
but Ruskin refused to consummate their
marriage. Lonely and frustrated Effie is drawn
to pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais,
and finds a friend and champion in Lady
Elizabeth Eastlake. After five years trapped in a
loveless marriage, Effie will defy the rules of
Victorian society. 108 minutes.
