TASTE OF SPAIN WINE RECEPTION
MARCH 13TH, 2015
PLEASE WELCOME OUR NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF, LEO ORTIZ
For as long as Leonardo Ortiz can remember, he has always catalogued his memories
around food. From vacations to family outings, great food has always been at the center
of everything he has done.
Leonardo Ortiz attended the Art Institute of Atlanta, and shortly after finishing classes he
was invited to form part of the kitchen staff at the Sugarloaf Country Club, in Atlanta,
GA. There he learned the importance of great ingredients and the value of teamwork in a
hospitality environment.
Taking the experience and wisdom from the chefs he’s spent time with – Daniel Bouloud
and Wylie Dufresne in New York City, Omaro Cantu in Chicago, IL and Michael Touhy in
Atlanta, GA; and the kitchens he has been part of – City Grill, The Georgian Club,
Woodfire Grill and for the last seven years at the Atlanta Country Club - Leo has tried to
establish his own style of cooking based on his roots in Latin food while elevating them
with creative flavor combinations and beautiful presentations.
Leo currently resides in Atlanta with his wife Carmen and two kids. He is an avid crossfiter and lover of all things
beer and outdoors. Chef Leo will be launching our Spring Menu on April 20th and we look forward to having all of
our members experience his flavorful creations!

FEATURING MR. YURI L. ELIEZER
THURSDAY, APRIL 23RD  8:30AM—9:30AM

right steps to take to secure them.
Mr. Yuri L. Eliezer heads the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Founders Legal, a firm that

his practice on preparing, developing and executing strategies for securing corporate intellectual
property, portfolio development and maintenance, as well as negotiating and preparing licenses

A LETTER FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER...
Happy April! If you haven't given up on your New Years resolutions yet, this is
the month to do it for most! More than 70% of people will drop their
resolutions by the end of April. Fortunately, this club is packed with the thirty
percenters! Interestingly, research shows that 73.58% of statistics are
completely made up as well.
I would like to personally thank and recognize four of our members for
winning the March Newsletter Challenge this year. Mr. Jonathan Perez, Dr. Gale Petrowski,
Mr. Jay Austin, and Mr. Christopher Seabrook. They should be commended for reading my
article and winning the gift certificates that were up for grabs for the first ten members.!
Two years ago, only seven members won, so my articles clearly must be getting worse. I
would also like to thank the other 596 members of the club for saving your club $150 in gift
certificates. I know that's why you really didn't come forward.
Have a great month and we look forward to seeing you at Easter, for the Wine Dinner, and
any of the other great events all month long!
