he 2015 CityWide User Groups will once again be held in Ontario, Alberta, and British
Columbia in late June. Asset Management Planning and its supporting
methodologies are proving to be front of mind for the majority of communities across
Canada. In addition, provincial and federal infrastructure funding is now being tied
to the development of Asset Management Plans (AMPs).
An intelligent and useful AMP will fulfill at least two purposes. First, it will use available asset data
to develop long-term financial strategies for the full lifecycle of community infrastructure.
Second, the AMP will allow public works personnel to make data-backed decisions to optimize
available funding.
Throughout 2013-2014, PSD delivered more than 100 asset management plans for local
governments covering all major asset classes including roads, bridges, facilities, and
underground infrastructure. 250 municipalities consisting of more than 20 percent of Canada’s
population now rely on our technologies for their asset management planning and
implementation.
We are looking forward to working with our User Groups this June, sharing what we have learned
through the development of AMPs, providing new version releases of our application,
methodologies, and roadmap, and of greatest importance, listening to and learning from our
clients.
We look forward to meeting with all of you over the coming months. Thank you for making our
events such a great success each year.

Stream: CityWide Tangible Assets (TA)
This breakout session will be a working session covering the new advanced asset management
features that have been incorporated into Tangible Assets Version 4. Topics to be covered
include;

Lifecycle Management (Setting up rehabilitation events, timing and costing)
Risk Management (Sample risk matrix by asset class and how to customize them for your
municipality)
Decision Trees (Sample decision trees by asset class and how to customize them for your
municipality)
Stream: CityWide Capital Planning & Analysis (CPA)
This breakout session will be a working session covering how to develop and create projects,
prioritize them and provide funding for them.
Stream: CityWide Works/GIS
This breakout session will be a working session to review the current features within Works including;
service requests, preventative maintenance, time sheets, part/materials, and the new building
applications and permits module. GIS will also be covered during this session from the basic
viewer mode to the more advanced application and how it can enhance the CityWide suite of
applications.
Stream: Asset Management Plan (AMP)
This session will be presenting our Asset Management Road Map. The road map includes AM
policies, staff and council training sessions, condition assessments, risk management and more.
