Instructions
Stocking stitch: RSR: k st, WSR: p st
In order to create the small flowers, knit only with the smooth part of the thread. Always knit until you get
to a spot where a loop is attached; hold that loop behind the right needle, and then continue knitting with
the following smooth thread. The flowers are then on the front and back of the knitwear piece.
If desired, the blossoms can also all be on one side of the knitwear piece.
Cuff pattern:
Knit 2, purl 2, alternate, knit stitches as they appear on the wrong-side rows.
Knitting pattern:
The hat is knitted straight, in right- and wrong-side rows.
Cast on 92 st and 2 est, using the 4.0mm needles and Perfino or your own choice of yarn, and knit 6 cm
(= 17 r) in cuff pattern.
Continue knitting in stocking stitch, using the needle 6.0 – 7.0 and quality Flower (put all flowers to the
right side), and decrease by 12 st in the 1st r as follows (= 82 st): 1 est, k 1, * k 5, k 2 tog, rep 11 times
after *, k 7, 1 est
In 18 cm (= 34th r) after the cuff decrease between the est as follows:
35th r: k tog every 7th and 8th st (= 72 st)
36th r: knit without decreasing
37th r: k tog every 6th and 7th st (= 62 st)
38th r: knit without decreasing
39th r: k tog every 4th and 5th st (= 50 st)
40th r: knit without decreasing
41st r: k tog every 3rd and 4th st (= 38 st)
42nd r: knit without decreasing
43rd r: k tog every 2nd and 3rd st (= 26 st)
44th r: always p tog 2 (= 14 st)
45th r: always k tog 2 (= 8 st)
Pull together the remaining 8 stitches with the working yarn. Close the back seam as flat as possible.
