With the official kick off of summer now in our mist, we have planned lots of exciting new and fun things to add to your summer plans. Blessing to you all. ~Theresa What’s New At the Shop Summer Business Hours—We will be closed at 5 pm on Tuesdays (except for 2nd Tuesday each month for the Cricket Club). Our shop hours are change Tues—Friday, June 26-29 to closing at 5 pm all week. We will also be close all week of July 3—6, reopening on the 7th. National Yarn Bombing Day—June 9th: We are going to participate in this year again big and better! You can join in the fun by dropping off your donation of bombing pieces to the shop before June 7th. Scavenger Hunt Game—What is that you ask? A yarn bomb will be somewhere in town clues will be posted here. The first one to find and bring back to shop will get a prize. The prizes will be different each time and posted with the clue. It maybe a gift certificate or 30% or a needle set. Or many more prizes. You will know what you are playing for each time. Summer Garment Contest—Would you like the opportunity to win an entire set of Knitter’s Pride Needles (metal or wood)? Sure you would! All you need to do is knit or crochet any style garment—that is it! Yarn must be purchase from Forget Me Knot, garment must be ready for 2 week display at the shop on August 17th. Customers will have two weeks to vote on the best garment and winner will be announced September 1st! Can’t wait to see al the creative new garments we’ll be wearing this fall! Christmas in July—We are going to celebrate Christmas in the heat of summer—isn’t that a great way to cool down! We have lots of holiday fun class/projects going on and what a better time to plan for your holiday gifts then during July! New Yarns/Books/Magazines Red Barn Noro’s first edition magazine Feista lace yarn Class Policies Classes must be registered and paid for in advance. Must sign up, even for Free Classes. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the class, and the class fee will be credited towards a future registration. Classes have minimum registrations. Materials for all classes must be purchased at Forget Me Knot. Please bring the following supplies to class: paper, pencil, scissors, tape measure, crochet hook, and yarn needle. Please come to class a few minutes early and place cell phones on silent. Homework and supplies will be given at registration for each class. I-Cord—Learn the different ways to make and use i-cords in this monthly series—to include how to dress up with different stitches and beads. Slippers—Who doesn’t want their own pair of knitted slippers! Come and join us as we create the perfect pair for you! Round Table with Mimi—$10/ session. Bring your projects in and get one on one help with Mimi. Group Knit—this is for everyone to just come in and make new friends discuss community service projects and more.
