Welcome to Black Forest Primary School Our Uniform shop is located down by the OSHC unit and is open each Friday Morning from 8:45 - 9:30am, and the last Thursday of each School Holidays from 9:30 - 10am. If you cannot make these times you are able to order uniform via the Finance Office any morning and the clothing will be sent to your child’s classroom within the next few days. Finance usually have a stock of hats for emergency buys! BFPS dress policy is for children to wear PLAIN NAVY pants. We stock a basic knit short with a single pocket. For long pants any school stockist (eg Totally Schoolwear down by Woolworths Cumberland Park) or Myer, David Jones, Harris Scarfe, Target, Kmart, Big W or Best & Less are all good places to get other navy pants. Girls are permitted to wear jazz pants, or they may wear navy leggings or tights under other clothing eg pinafore, navy skirt, summer dress - but not on their own. No denim shorts or jeans or jeggings are allowed. Track pants and Cargo pants are allowed but they must be plain, no big logos, lots of zips etc. Students in Reception to Year 5 wear Royal Blue tops, and the 6/7 students wear Navy. We stock T-shirts, Short and Long Sleeve Polo shirts, and Windcheaters all with the school logo. Our Striped Knit Rugby jumper ($80) is not kept in stock due to budget constraints and is only ordered once a year, at the end of Term1 ready for the cooler weather in Term 2. Talk to the uniform shop manager regarding this item. Limited numbers of jumpers may be available outside of this order time, but can only be purchased through the uniform shop, with no guarantee of availability. T-Shirt $15 L/S Polo $27 S/S Polo $25 Windcheater $30 Shoes and sandals may be black, navy or brown. Plain coloured Sneakers are allowed but with no glitter or flashing lights. Socks are to be Navy or White. Hair which reaches the top of the shoulder must be worn up. Hair ties, Headbands and ribbons should be Blue or White. No jewellery or nail polish. The uniform shop also stocks school bags, excursion bags, pencil cases and book bags. A range of second hand items are available, these items may have been donated back to the school by families, or are for private sale, and are heavily discounted. There are no changeover requirements between wearing Summer and Winter uniform. This is only for 45 minutes on a Friday morning so it is a good way to be involved in the school community without too much effort and does not have to be every week.
