Invitation to Participate
Cleburne Friends of the Cultural Arts is hosting its second
People’s Choice Arts, Photography and Artisans Show and Sale that is open to
all interested
artists, photographers, and artisans.
Entry dates are Friday May 29, Saturday May 30 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
and Sunday May 31 1:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
at JN Long Cultural Arts Complex, 425 Granbury Street, Cleburne, Texas
No late entries will be accepted.
Show and Sale will open for public viewing and voting
Saturday June 6, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
And continue through July 10
Hours will be Monday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All entries must remain until after the awards ceremony and artist reception.
Awards Ceremony and Artist Reception is Saturday July 11, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
All entries may be picked up after 3:00 p.m. July 11 or during business hours
the following week. July 13-18, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Any work remaining after July 18 will be treated as a donation to CFCA and
be used in a fund raiser for operation of the JN Long Cultural Arts Complex.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES
for CFCA’s People’s Choice Show/Sale June/July 2015
1. The show is open to original photography, drawings, oil/acrylic, pastel, water color, mixed
media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, fiber art, and 3 dimensional work produced within the
last 3 years.
2. Entry shall be solely the artist’s work of original concept.
3. Each artist may submit only one piece for a non-refundable fee of $10.00.
4. The entry may be submitted in Professional, Adult, Youth (ages 0-12) or
Youth (ages 13-18). Professional is defined as being the entrant’s livelihood.
5. Two dimensional work must be framed with wire hanger suitable for museum hanging or
gallery wrapped canvas with edges painted and stretchers/staples concealed. Work must
be no larger than 24” x 36”.
6. Three dimensional work must be no larger than 36” X 36” and of suitable weight that one
person may handle it. If you can, please provide a pedestal for display or enclosed case
for protection.
7. An entry that is not for sale will be accepted. CFCA will receive a 20% commission for
all entries that are for sale.
8. Completed entry form and fee must be provided at time of submittal.
9. CFCA has the authority to decline any entry that is not acceptable for family viewing (no
nudes or sexually explicit work).
10. A People’s Choice blue ribbon plus a cash prize will be awarded in each of the
categories (professional, adult, youth 0-12, youth 13-18). A blue ribbon and cash prize
will also be awarded to People’s Choice Best of Show. Awards will be determined by
public voting throughout the duration of the show.
11. Work may be picked up after the award/reception on July 11 or throughout the following
week during business hours no later than July 18th. Another person may pick up the
work provided the artist gives signed, written permission for the work to be picked up by
the designated person. Any work remaining after July 18 will be treated as a donation to
CFCA and be used in a fundraiser for operation of the JN Long Cultural Arts Complex.
12. If you will provide a low resolution digital copy of your work, we will use it for web
advertisements. You may watermark your images. Please email digital copies to

I hereby acknowledge this entry to be solely my work of original concept produced within the
last 3 years. If my work is for sale, I agree to pay the Cleburne Friends of the Cultural Arts
(CFCA) a 20% commission of the sale price. I also agree to allow a digital copy of my entry to
be made and used for publicity for the show. I further understand that CFCA and its members
are not responsible for loss or damage to the art work that I have submitted. Paying the entry fee
and submitting artwork indicates that I have read and fully understand the terms, conditions and
date requirements of this prospectus.
