2015 Bakeless Bake Sale Greetings to the Families and Friends of our Music Students! Hopefully you have already heard about Cedar Crest Music Aides. We are the non-profit 501c3 parent organization that raises funds and supplies the person power to provide for the chorus, band and orchestra programs in grades K-12 of CornwallLebanon. Throughout the history of Music Aides, we have made capital purchases that have included band uniforms, formal wear and smart boards. This year, we invested in providing a new keyboard for an Elementary Vocal Music Program and marching instruments for the Middle School Band Program. Additionally, we use our annual budget to provide for student awards, senior recognitions, student activities during rehearsals and auditions, and director’s funds that are used to support their individual programs in their own schools. This year, our operating budget is just over $25,000. The main portion of our income comes from the proceeds of the refreshment stand during football and basketball games. This year we have made a concerted effort to control our costs and increase our profits. We still find it to be challenging to meet budget expenses because, like everything/one else, we are at the mercy of the weather and the attendance at the games. We make it a point to NOT ask families to do the typical candy, pie and sub fundraisers, as we know that you are already overwhelmed with them. A bakeless bake sale takes away all of that and allows you, to just write a check and us, to have 100% of your donation! Unlike past years, we are not suggesting a donation amount. ANYTHING that you can do will be appreciated. Please know that it goes directly to support the students, their programs and activities. Without you, we could not provide for them in the way that we do. We are blessed to have talented students, and the families and friends (YOU!) who support them. Because of that, each year we have a record number of students who represent our schools by their achievements in music festivals all the way to the national level. We know, and you know, how important the role of music is in developing a well-rounded human being. Won’t you help us by donating? Please reflect on this request and send your check payable to: Cedar Crest Music Aides by mailing your donation to: Cedar Crest Music Aides c/o Nadine Zvorsky, Assistant Treasurer 25 Klein Ave. Lebanon, PA 17042 You may also drop your donation off at the Music Aides table outside your respective spring concert. If you have any questions, please contact Sara Fuller, President, at 717-272-9527 or [email protected]. Thank you very much for your consideration (and your donation!).
