Assured Income for the
Severely Handicapped (AISH)
We help people with many different types
of benefit programs. Our most frequent
request for help involves assisting people
with the AISH program.
Services Offered
AISH is financial assistance from the
government for people who are 18 years or
older and who have a permanent disability
that, for the most part, limits their ability to
earn a living.
AISH Appeals
We help clients with AISH appeals by
obtaining medical letters from your doctors
to prove your disability is permanent,
severe, and, for the most part, limits your
ability to earn a living.
SBAP provides legal advice, referrals and
representation to people wanting help
with:

Keeping existing benefits

Appealing a denial or overpayment
decision

Preparing for a hearing

Understanding the law and policies
for benefits

Connecting with other community
support organizations
In some circumstances, we may be able to
offer additional support by going to the
appeal hearing with you.
