This is a cowl/scarf combo. The cowl is created using an
I-cord that you can lace up the edges of the scarf, or
simply use it as a bow through any of the yarn overs.

SIZE
about 55” long and 11” wide
MATERIALS
Worsted weight yarn.
2 skeins Illimani Yarns Baby Llama (200m/100g, 100%
baby llama) in Cream
2 skeins Illimani Yarns Silky Baby Llama (200m/100g, 70%
baby llama, 30% mulberry silk) in Charcoal
8 mm 24” circular needle
8 mm double pointed needles tapestry needle

DIRECTIONS
Scarf
With one strand of each yarn and using the long tail cast on,
cast on 54 stitches.
Rows 1-3: knit.
Row 4 and all RS rows: *k2, yo, k2tog; rep from * to last 2
sts, k2. Row 5 and all WS rows: k2, purl to last 2 sts, k2.
Rep Rows 4 and 5 until piece measures 55” from beginning and there is about 50g of each yarn left.
Knit three rows. Bind off very loosely.
I-cord
Using two 8mm double pointed needles and two strands held together, CO 3 sts.
Slide stitches to other end of needle and K3, repeat until you have three times the length of the scarf.

FINISHING
Weave in ends. Lace up short ends of scarf using I-cord.
