“Now is the time to knit socks/ several sock
classes are available. Socks can be knit from the
cuff down or from the toe up, with double point
needles or long circular needles. Washable wool
yarn with nylon makes a wonderfully warm sock.
Also available are synthetic yarns in many colors.
New are Interchangeable Needle Cords by Hiya
Hiya with a lifeline. A lifeline is a smooth cord
that follows the knitting. It allows the knitter to
unravel easily and safely if an error is made. We
have new yarn colors of Encore from Plymouth
and Vintage worsted by Berroco. Swivel yarn
holders made locally (in Stewartville!) have been
popular! New wool rovings for all your needle
felting projects are in.”

Bridget’s Bagettes (Susan)

Keep all of life’s little necessities where you can easily find
them. Create this speedy little bag with an easy no-binding
finish. The bagettes come in mini, small and long sizes. Make
just one size or make all three. Class price includes a bagette

We offer one-on-one lesson(s) to teach you how to knit or crochet. Do you
have a project that has you stumped? We can help you finish those projects
and move on to new ones. Come visit with us so we can determine the
instructor best suited for your project needs.
Felted Clog Slippers (Carolyn)

Felted clog slippers are knit with doubled strands of worsted
weight or one strand of bulky weight yarn. Designed to create
a very thick, firm fabric when felted, they feature doubled soles
for extra comfort and longer wear.
Beginning Socks – Toe Up (Gerarda)

Learn to knit a sock starting at the toe. This class will use worsted weight yarn
and circular needles. Using worsted weight yarn will allow you to complete
the sock quickly while learning new techniques. Basic knitting skills are

Have you purchased your supplies and taken a class with us but still need
help finishing the project you’ve started? Join us and get the help you need
to be successful. We invite all yarn enthusiasts to join us no matter what
project they are work on. Special attention may be given to those participants
finishing class projects. This is a fun social event. All skill levels are welcome!
We would love to see what you are working on. There are no instructions or
lessons given by staff during this time. If you need help on your own project,
ask about personal lessons.

Learn how to use Revelry.com for finding patterns, keeping track of patterns
you have, needles, yarn, etc.
Small Felt Purse (Paulette)
FEE: $ 30; Tue Jan 14 & 28 @ 5:30 PM
This purse is done on circular needles. The pattern requires knitting and
purling. This is a fairly easy pattern, covering basic knitting techniques. Some
knitting experience is required. The first class covers casting on and getting
started. You will finish knitting your purse at home. In lesson two we will learn
the Kitchener (grafting) stitch to finish the knitting process of your purse. We
will talk about the felting process, so you can go home and finish your purse. Finishing Techniques 101 (Carolyn)

Do you dislike sewing a knitted piece together because it doesn’t look right? Is
your finished garment to big or too small, too long or too short? We will cover
seaming; how to sew shoulder seams, sleeves and the sides together correctly.
How and when you should ‘block’ a sweater. Knowing the correct techniques
will make your sweater look exactly the way you want it to look. A knit sample
swatch will be provided for this exercise.
Beginning Socks – Cuff Down (Gerarda)

Learn to knit a sock starting from the cuff. This class will be
taught using worsted weight yarn and double point needles.
Using worsted weight yarn will allow you to complete the
sock quickly while learning new techniques. You will be
exposed to circular needle techniques.
Beginning Socks – Sock Weight Yarn (Gerarda)

Learn to knit a sock using lighter weight sock yarn and small needle sizes.
Gauge and sizing information and help will be provided. Must have previous
sock knitting experience.
Needle Felting (Carolyn)

Discover the joys of “painting’ with wool roving. Learn about the tools,
materials and techniques that allow you to achieve a painterly effect. This is a
terrific technique for needle felting on felted wool pieces suitable for framing
or embellishing your favorite mittens, hats and sweaters.

Knit Two Socks at One Time! (Paulette)

Learn to knit two socks at the same time. The first class covers casting on and
getting started. You will knit your tops at home and be ready to do the heels
at the second class. Third class will be finishing and learning the Kitchener
(grafting) stitch. Recommended for intermediate to advance knitter.

Learn basic computer skills to support your sewing habit. Move
embroidery designs from design disks to USB sticks to your machine.
Machine to computer interfacing will be discussed. Organize your designs
so you can find what you need when you want it. Bring your laptop, a disk
with designs, and a USB stick to class. Recommended USB size is 2 gigs
or less.
