If you need help with castin on, casting off, or anything else related to knitting, check out the site www.knittinghelp.com If you have any questions about this pattern, message me and I’ll try to help you as best I can, but I’m not a very good teacher :) Materials 100g worsted weight yarn, set of five 4mm DPNs Step 1 Left Hand: CO 40sts, arrange sts so that there are 12sts on needle 1, 8sts on needles 2, 12sts on needle 3, and 8sts on needle 4. Join needles to start knitting in the round. K2, P2 for the cuff, approximately the length of the forearm. Once this cuff is the desired length, switch to K5, P1 for 12 rounds. Increase for thumb (left): R1: k17, m1, k1, m1, k22 R2: knit, same for every even round R3: k17, m1, k3, m1, k22 R5: k17, m1, k5, m1, k22 R7: k17, m1, k7, m1, k 22 R9: k17, m1, k9, m1, k22 2S R11: k17, m1, k11, m1, k22 R13: k17, slide next 14sts onto stitch holder, CO 2sts, knit to end of round (40sts) Knit every round until desired length is reached (about 8-9â’) between the first and second knuckle of the ring finger. Cast-off. Thumb: Slip 6 sts from the stitch holder onto needle 1, slips next 6 sts onto needle 2, slip remaining 2 sts from base of thumb with needle 3. (16 sts in total on 3 needles). Knit every round for about 1â’ (to approx the knuckle of the thumb). Cast off. Step 2 Right Hand: CO 40sts, arrange sts so that there are 12sts on needle 1, 8sts on needles 2, 12sts on needle 3, and 8sts on needle 4. Join needles to start knitting in the round.
