We tutor struggling readers (grades 1-8) through an online
program called Capstart, Our goal is to not only help students
improve their literacy skills, but also develop a love of reading.
Volunteer Opportunities: all of our students are tutored by
volunteers. Our volunteers commit to one student, which means 50
minutes/ week for 10 weeks.
Connect people age 55+ with meaningful opportunities that assist
local agencies in meeting their missions
Common Good RSVP
Volunteer Opportunities: Delivering meals to older adults in their
homes; assisting elementary students in the classroom, working on
one-time projects that help to fill critical gaps in our community.

LEEP serves individuals over the age of 8 with intellectual

Enrichment programs within our Day Training and Habilitation in

/Mankato
Options for Women/Mankato is dedicated to assisting those
involved in pregnancy with life affirming choices by providing
confidential counseling, resources, education and limited medical
services in a respectful, caring and professional environment
before during and after pregnancy.
Volunteer Opportunities: Our client advocates are trained to be lay
counselors who meet women where they are in a nonjudgmental
way. We also rely on volunteers to help with education and
referrals, as well as the day-to-day needs of operating a center.

Rasmussen College is an institution of higher education which
promotes volunteerism and community service as a means to
personal and professional development of the individual.

The Refugee Outreach Program provides in-home English language
tutoring for the refugee women unable to attend other classes
due to lack of transportation, care of family member, or other
circumstances.

The Mission of Scouting is to prepare young people to make
ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the Values
of the Scout Oath and Law. The Twin Valley Youth Cub Scouts (for
boys grades k-5), Boy Scouts (for Boys grades 6 -11), and Venture
Crews (for boys and girls ages 13 – 20).

Girls on the Run
The YWCA of Mankato strives to provide community based programs
that develop, strengthen and diversify leaders in Greater Mankato,
improve girls’ health and future economic opportunities and stimulate
our economy’s growth through the contributions of women.

on the Run coach & mentor! As a coach, you will facilitate lessons that
