Flash Erase Procedures:
Flash Erase on 2U (now with HDD Format)
Now for the HDD format, my mistake the error is actually “0b80” as opposed to “0680”
1.
Reset the decoder
2.
wait till u see the "boot" text on the front panel
3.
when u see boot, press down the “tv/audio” and “play/pause” buttons
simultaneously
4.
hold the tv/audio and play/pause buttons down until the box reboots
** All procedures indicated below are executed on the decoder/s front panels
PACE TDS 850 IMC – HD 4 TUNER PVR
FORCED DOWNLOAD :
STEP 1 : decoder displaying steady d & steady L eg d:L
Press the STANDBY button
STEP 2 : decoder blinking d & steady L
Press the UP ARROW ↑button
STEP 3 : decoder displaying steady d & blinking L
Press the DOWN ARROW ↓button
STEP 4 : decoder blinking d & blinking L
Press the STANDBY button
PACE HD2P – HD 2 TUNER PVR Flash Erase
STEP 1 : Reset the Decoder on the front Panel and than wait for 1 with a rolling
cursor
STEP 2 : press and hold in all three buttons Tv/video, uhf and p+ for 30 seconds
until reset appears
STEP 3 : press the play pause button and it will say pass

PROCEDURE TO ACCESS THE ENGINEERING (GREEN SCREEN)
**NB : PLEASE DO STEPS 2 & 3 IN QUICK SUCCESSION
1. Press the “GUIDE” button and hold it in for at least 5 to 8 seconds.
2. Press the “EXIT” button.
3. Press the “OK” button.
4. A green applet will appear requiring a PIN CODE entry, enter 1649

PROCEDURE TO ACCESS THE ENGINEERING (GREEN SCREEN)

1. Press the “GUIDE” button and hold it in for at least 5 to 8 seconds.
2. Press the “SHIFT” button.
3. Press the “GUIDE” button.
4. Press the “OK” button.
5. A green applet will appear requiring a PIN CODE entry, enter 1649

FORCED UPGRADE :
1. Press and Hold in the “RESET” button.
2. When “dL” appears – press the “PAUSE/PLAY” button.
3. Press the “V+” button.
4. Press the “V-“ button.
5. Press the “PAUSE/PLAY”button.
A. Wait until the decoder finishes upgrading.
B. When the “NETWORK SET UP” screen appears – Press the “BLUE” button to “SCAN
THIS NETWORK”.
C. Press the “OK” button to launch services.
UEC DVR 3000 – SD 2 TUNER PVR (S.AFRICA)
FLASH ERASE :
1. Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “V +” and “P -” buttons simultaneously.
2. Decoder will display “dL” , as soon as the display shows 1 and a rotating ҈ , press “V-“
and the “PLAY/PAUSE” buttons simultaneously.
3. The decoder will display “FLASH ERASE” on the front display panel than RELEASE the
buttons.
UEC DSD MV 820 – DUALVIEW DECODER
FLASH ERASE :
1. Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “MENU” and “DOWN ↓ARROW” buttons
simultaneously and release them.
2. The decoder will display “dL”
3. As soon as the display shows 1 and a rotating ҈ , press the “DOWN ↓ ARROW” and
“EXIT” buttons simultaneously.
4. The 3 LEDS on the front display panel will start flashing than RELEASE the buttons –
after the recovery is done 8888 & SCAN will be displayed.
UEC DSD 1131
FLASH ERASE :
1. Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “STANDBY”, “P+” and “P-“ buttons
simultaneously ( all 3 buttons at the same time ).
2. Hold all 3 buttons in until the GREEN, AMBER and ORANGE lights start flashing at the
same time on the decoder’s front panel.
UEC DSD 1110
FLASH ERASE :
1. Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “RESET” button.
2. The decoder will display “dL”, as soon as the display shows 1 and a rotating ҈ , press
and hold in the “TV / AUDIO” and “P+” buttons simultaneously
until all 3 LED’s start flashing/toggling then release the buttons.
3. After the procedure the decoder will start scanning.
UEC DSD 910 – 933 – 990
FLASH ERASE :
1
Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “STANDBY” and “TV / AUDIO” buttons
simultaneously and release them.
2
The decoder will display “dL”, as soon as the display shows 1, press the “TV / AUDIO”
and “P-“ buttons simultaneously.
3
The 3 LED’s will start flashing on the front display panel.
4
Once the recovery is completed the decoder will display Scan.
UEC DSD 645 – 660 – 720 – 720i
FLASH ERASE :
1. Reset the decoder as follows : Press the “STANDBY” and “TV / AUDIO” buttons
simultaneously and release them.
2. The decoder will display “dL” , as soon as the decoder display shows 1 and a rotating
҈ , then press and hold in the “TV / AUDIO” and “P / V” buttons simultaneously.
3. The 3 LED’s will start flashing on the front display panel.
4. Once the recovery is completed the decoder will display Scan.
