Diego club, for a lunch in Julian. Meeting time and place TBD.

May 20-21 - Tour from Depot Bay along the Oregon Coast, should be great T

Saturday 20 June - Virgil White invited us to the 50th Anniversary of the
founding of the MTFCA, which is being celebrated at the Antique
Engine Museum in Vista. Details will follow.

Minutes for HVMTC General Meeting March 4, 2015
Meeting opened at 6:50 pm by President Doug Lested
Members attending included John & Karen Pepe, Tony & Heather Bowker, Vic & Stephanie Terrell,
Virgil & Sharon White, Doug Lested, Dale & Eleanor Stanfield, Mac & Diane McPherson, Doug &
Neta Anderson, Ken & Merlene Magers, Jim McCrery, Ann Tunnell, Craig & Barbara French.
Mac lead the pledge.
Doug welcomed everyone , there was one guest, Jim McCrery who is in the process of purchasing at
1927 Touring, welcome to the Model T world. He lives in Valley Center and will be looking for
someone to teach him how to drive the car when it arrives. Doug is still working on his Model T,
he claimed the T will be on the next tour were exaggerated, he is currently painting the frame.
Diane reported we have sufficient funds to continue operations, details for members from Tony or
Diane.
Tony spoke about the weekend tour to Joshua Tree NP, details of which was covered in the last
newsletter. Tony proposed that we pay the two Trouble Tucks $50 each towards fuel, motion
unanimously agreed.
Stephanie suggested the March 14th tour to Myrtle Creek Botanical Gardens and Nursery, leaving
from the Escondido Arts Center. Meet at 8:30am and leave at 9pm, note the earlier
departure time. Lunch will be at the nursery, charge of $8 per person.
The April 25th tour will be a joint tour with the San Diego club, meeting at the Descanso junction
on Route 8 for a lunch in Julian. (It was unclear if the HVMTC will meet at the junction or run a
different route. This will be clarified at the meeting on April 1st.)
The May tour and Annual Installation Lunch will again be held at the home of Doug & Neta
Anderson on May 16th, We will leave from the Escondido Arts Center, meet at 9am and
leave at 9:30pm. Virgil White invited both the HVMTC and the MTFCSD to the 50th
Anniversary of the founding of the MTFCA, which is being celebrated at the Antique
Engine Museum in Vista on June 20. Details will follow.
Doug has received no nomination of officers for the open Board position which are President,
Tour Chair and Secretary, so think about helping out running the club. Doug announced
that due to work pressures, he will not be able to accept nomination for President. Tony
would prefer not to continue as Secretary, but is willing to continue with the web site and
Newsletter.
Tony asked if there were any comments regarding the January minutes. The minutes as published in
the Commutator Newsletter were unanimously approved.
There was an Opportunity Drawing, Vic picked up $28.
Being no further business, Doug closed the meeting at 7:50 pm.

More on the Joshua Tree NP Tour
The article on the left appeared in the Borrego Sun but most of the
text is about the coupe with no picture, who knows? The picture of
John's 1911 does not do the car justice, never mind.
Tour to Myrtle Creek Botanical Gardens and Nursery
I didn't make this tour,, Heather was unwell and I over slept, even
had the Coupe on the trailer... I guess four Model T's and several
Moderns made the event. Diane supplied this picture and Karen,
who mentioned the drive was just great, supplied the rest.

switch, directional signals, steering shaft kit, front spindles, vinyl top, tires, tubes, rim flaps. New
Rocky Mtn. brakes and halogen lights installed four yrs. ago. Engine head magnifluxed and
