TREAT Symposium – TransR
OVERVIEW
The purpose of this program will be to educate healthcare providers who care for patients with
vascular lesions, highlighting important developments in the management and treatment of
these patients using a transradial arterial access approach. Participants will understand, and
when appropriate, integrate these developments into their clinical practices.
The TREAT symposium will offer didactic lectures, live cases, hands-on workshops and case
management discussions with a panel of expert faculty. Concepts regarding patient selection,
best technical approaches, potential pitfalls and equipment selection will be reviewed.
OBJECTIVES
After completion of this course, you will be able to:
• Compare and contrast equipment and procedural techniques for performing
transradial vs. transfemoral endovascular therapies.
• Demonstrate the role of transradial access for complex embolotherapy and review the
techniques necessary for successful therapy.
• Review the role of transradial access for visceral interventions.
• Recognize the challenges and pitfalls associated with transradial interventions.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Physician Extenders, and other allied
health professionals involved in the care of patients undergoing endovascular procedures.
