2015 REDI History…
Started in 2009, REDI is a partnership between the Denver Office of Economic
Development (OED) and the Colorado District Council of Urban Land Institute (ULI
Colorado).
The goal of the program is to help increase awareness of opportunities in the real
estate industry among women and minority groups.
Over the past five years REDI has introduced 171 people to real estate
development principles, concepts and implementation strategies.
Who should apply…
• Minorities and women are eligible
• Have, at minimum, some knowledge of real
estate concepts
• Possess an undergraduate or associate
degree
• Have a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
• Commit to attend 100% of the classes
Program requirements…
• Attend ALL classes
• 2 to 5 p.m., Mondays from June through early November, every other week at a
minimum
• Pay a $250 fee if accepted to the program
• Participate in program development and final class presentation
• Complete and return a class evaluation
How the program works…
• Organizers select up to 36 participants from the applications
• Three groups of 11 to 12 work with mentors , who are local developers;; learn
development processes
• Learn about city processes, pro formas, and finances in large group sessions
• Determine what to build on 1.2 acres of land at Holly Square in northeast Park
Hill and develop the project
• Prepare and give a project presentation
• Presentation evaluated by a team of ULI developers
Program rewards…
• Free one-year membership in ULI Colorado, with access to close to more than
1,100 members working in many different areas of the real estate industry
• Certificate of completion
• Real estate industry Continuing Education Units (if applicable)
• Large and small group real estate mentoring and education worth more than
$15,000

• Go to COLORADO.ULI.ORG to fill out an online application
• Or print the application, complete and mail it to the address provided
• The application requires you to share:
• Contact information, ethnicity, education, last 3 employers, and a short
essay, your preferences.
• Need to have 2 letters of reference
• Applications are due by 5 p.m., Friday , May 15, 2015
