BOOROWA WOOLFEST - BEANIE, BERET & TEA COSY COMPETITION 2014 ENTRY INFORMATION Knitters, Crocheters, Felters, Sewing creators are invited to get creating for the 2014 Boorowa Woolfest Beanie Competition. Enter up to ten (10) beanies and/or tea cosies. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: ALL entries (beanies, berets and / or tea cosies) MUST be received before Friday 19th September 2014. It is not guaranteed that late entries will be included in this exhibition. Be early! Entry into the 2014 Boorowa Woolfest Beanie, Beret & Tea Cosy Competition attracts a small fee - $2-00 per adult entry and $1-00 per entry from young person under 15 years old. Entries to be sent to: Boorowa Woolfest Beanie, Beret & Tea Cosy Competition C/- Fibre Filia, Marsden Street, Boorowa 2586 Each entry MUST have a completed entry form which must clearly indicate if the entry is for sale and the price (including commission) MUST be clear on the entry form. Up to 10 beanies, berets or 10 tea cosies– or a combination of 10 may be entered by each person. Gloves, scarves, socks and/or booties cannot be entered and will be returned un-judged and un-exhibited. Please note; this is a Beanie, Beret & Tea Cosy Competition. Beanies, berets and/or tea cosies may be nominated for sale. Sale price up to $120-00 (including commission) per beanie / tea cosy. Please clearly indicate the title of your creation/s on the work/s and on the entry form Please indicate clearly on your creation and on the entry form if it is for sale (or not - NFS) and the sale price. Competition Organisers will retain 20% of all sales – so please ensure you include the commission in your sale price. Net proceeds from entry fees, sale commissions and donations will be donated by the competition organisers to a local (Boorowa) community organisation / charity. Please price any entry for sale in whole dollar lots (ie: $25-00 or $70-00) and not dollars with cents (eg; not $32-55 or $57-89). While all care will be taken with entries, no responsibility will be accepted for lost or damaged items by the competition organisers. Any insurance is the responsibility of the competition entrant /creator. Competition organisers retain the right to use images of the works entered for promotional purposes. Apart from this, copyright remains with the entry / creator. Competition Categories: 1. Irish / Australiana Beanie – reflecting Irish and/or Australian themes 2. Stitching Prize – for exquisite crochet, knitting or other stitch based beanie 3. Recycled / Earth friendly beanie – using recycled materials, hand spun, or natural dyes 4. People’s choice 5. Tea Cosy 6. Kids beanie/beret work (aged eleven or under) 7. Youth beanie/beret work (ages 12 to 18 years) Unsold beanies, berets or tea cosies will be available for collection from Fibre Filia in the weeks following the 2014 Boorowa Woolfest. If you wish to have your entry returned by post, please ensure you provide sufficient funds to cover the cost of postage. Competition organisers are not prepared to meet this cost for you. Beanies, berets or tea cosies that have not been collected by the end of November will be donated to a local community organisation / charity for distribution or sale. Donations – please consider if you would like to donate a beanie, beret or tea cosy to the competition. Donated items will either be given to a person in need at the end of the competition or sold over the Woolfest weekend with proceeds to be donated to a local Boorowa community organisation/charity –or- given to a local Boorowa community organisation/charity for distribution or sale.
