will create two paintings in this workshop:

basket weaving, and go home with a
completed, useful napkin basket. The
basket will be about 7"x7" and have a

accent. You will be able to create your own

with watercolors. Experiment with weton-wet for soft muted backgrounds as well
as wet-on-dry for more detailed work on

watercolor paper, this class may be for you.
Yupo is a smooth plastic surface which
allows "lifting" of your paint and produces
some surprising effects. Masa paper

Join us for a fun morning of knitting for charity! There is an overwhelming number of
charities to knit/crochet for. You will learn about several that your local church/knitting
group could contribute to, discuss how to start a prayer shawl or mission knitting group in
your area, and share fundraising ideas for your church or knitting group. In addition, the
instructor will be sharing her favorite patterns for prayer shawls, chemo caps, newborn
caps, blankets, and booties.
Bring a project to work on, or start something new – kits will be available for optional
purchase. If you are bringing your own needles and plan to start something new, in
general, chemo caps or baby hats use a size six or seven 16” circular needle (G crochet
hook) and prayer shawls use a size eleven straight or 24” circular needle (K or N crochet
hook). There will be a "yarn shop" set up and needles available for purchase. Yarns will

Turtle Scouts is a

for boys and girls

The activities
are designed to
introduce youth
to land stewardship concepts and creative
thinking. Based on the Urban Land Scouts
program developed by artist, cultivator,
and teacher Katie Ries, Turtle Scouts is
a unique way to engage youth and help
them develop an appreciation for the
land. Turtle Scouts will earn badges by

If classes have to be rescheduled, we
will do so according to the instructor’s
