H Type Window
Timber
Hardwood, European Softwood, Laminated Softwood, Clear Faced Laminate.
Glass
Standard IGU thickness: 28mm. 4/20/4 soft coat Low E to the inner pane.
Black warm edge spacer. Argon is available to achieve lower U values.
Triple Glazing
Available up to 36mm thick. Timber beads all round must be used.
Beads
Q drained and vented bottom bead with timber to top and sides. Beads can be
mitre or butt jointed at the top. Timber beads all round are available and can
be either mitered or butt jointed. As the bottom bead is not aluminium, it can
be painted/stained to match the rest of the window.
Bead Fixing
Protec glazing machine.
Cill Extension
Standard options are 25mm, 37mm, 63mm and 87mm. Adding any of these
sizes to our frame depth of 94mm will give you your overall cill depth. Larger
cill drips are available in either softwood or hardwood, which due to the size
will also require a 15mm cill packer. We recommend hardwood whenever
possible to aid stability; this is, however, no guarantee against movement.

Hinges Spilka
Available as top hung fully reversible. Opening sashes can only be offered in
rectangular shapes with right angled corners. Part of the hinge is visible from
the outside; this can be powder coated to match the window.
Restrictor
The Spilka hinge has an integral restrictor that initially prevents the sash from
opening past approximately 100mm; this is not held in position unless an
optional anti-blow back device is fitted to the LH jamb. The restrictor is
located on the RH jamb and is released by sliding upwards.
Handle
Hoppe single handle operation (locking or non-locking); when closed the sash
is secured to the frame by retractable rods. Available in brown or white.
Options for polished gold, chrome and SAA.
Low level handle
Handles are fitted to the bottom rail.

Fully factory finished single or dual colours, base coat or LITW.
Non-Opening Lights
Can be direct glazed or fixed sashes and can be shaped. When direct-glazing,
there is an option to have an infill bead to keep the glass in plane with an
opening sash. This also keeps the beads to a uniform size.

Additional Information
Minimum Width 406mm with espagnolette. Maximum Width 2488mm.
Minimum Height 400mm. Maximum Height 1588mm using HD version.
Maximum Weight 80KG using HD version (S6 and S7 hinge modules only).
It is recommended not to use the HD (heavy duty) hinges off a mullion.
The inner face of the sash and frame have decorative ovolo mouldings; a square back option is available.
A special bottom-hung version is available. Hung on butts. Roller arm stays to prevent the sash from
dropping too far. Pull ring fastener (non-locking). When located above a sash and case window linings
can be added to extend the frame to be in line with the sash case.

H Type Window
Vents can be fitted to the H Window using the following options:
• Through the frame head with an internal vent, cranked slot and no external canopy.
• Through the frame head with an internal vent, straight through slot and external canopy.
• Through the sash top rail with an internal vent, straight through slot and external canopy.
• Overglass and over frame options are also available.

If vents are located through the sash top rail then the Vent/Canopy calculations apply. As the sash top
rail length is smaller than the frame head the overall frame will need to be a minimum of 150mm wider
to accommodate the minimum width required for the appropriate vent.
