Unlike attempts by some to ‘time the market’, portfolio equity exposure in down-trending markets is decreased as individual stocks meet sell criteria and fewer stocks meet buy criteria. The opposite occurs in up markets. Cash level is a dynamic of the buy–sell process. The portfolio seeks to be fully invested consistent with market risk and the number of stocks meeting buy and sell criteria. DISCLOSURE – Global Growth & Income I.
