Visit the Library During River Festival!
If you are planning to attend this year’s River Festival, don’t forget to allow time to drop by
the west lawn of the Central Library. From May 31 through June 7, the Library will be part
of the River Festival celebration. Enroll in summer reading programs, register for library
accounts, learn more about library programs and services and become eligible for some
great prizes. Hours will vary each day. Call the Central Library at 261-8500 or check the
website (www.wichita.lib.ks.us) for more details.
On June 3 there will be a special celebration in honor of the Library’s selection as the
winner of the second annual LibraryAware Community Award, which highlights libraries that
engage with their community to improve the lives of citizens and create life-long learners.
