Personas: Paul Stark, 36 – Client Advisor
"I would like to have one window that keeps me constantly up-todate."
Paul is a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in
economics. He has a very structured mind and likes to do a wide
variety of sports in his free time. He calls himself an information junkie.
He has worked at different locations for different banks and mainly
speaks English with his team, who are responsible for a dedicated
geographical region.
As a client advisor he builds strong personal relationships with his
wealthy clients, helping them reaching their financial goals.
Paul is highly dependent on all kinds of different global and regional
financial news. Basically, he starts every day by revisiting the same
sources, in order to be well-prepared for the day before the markets
open. Although he depends on a wide range of financial news, he is not
particularly dependent on the intranet itself. He mainly uses the
intranet for internal news and to launch the client advisor workbench
where he spends the whole day.
Client Advisor
WM&SB (Zurich)
He communicates and collaborates regularly with his regional
teammates, usually ad hoc, but doesn’t seek or even see any potential
solutions beyond the telephone, Outlook and personal meetings for his
communication needs. However, he wishes that the intranet would
keep him well-informed about his region and his team.
Project Manager
CC (Zurich)
Comms Specialist
CC (Hong Kong)
Business Analyst
IT CC (Weehawken)
Financial Advisor
WMA (New York)
Project Manager
IB (London)
He meets up with his clients in person on a few days in the month.
When travelling abroad, he isn't allowed to take his Blackberry or his
notebook with him because of legal policies so he isn't able to access
the intranet on the go. Instead, he usually takes his personal iPhone
and iPad with him so that he can access the news and book hotels.
